Take it from a person who played Star Sonata for 1 1/2 Years and Beta tested it.  Do not download this game or play it.  Its unique and addictive but its probably the most horrible MMORPG out there for a few reasons.

In the beginning the game had 3 Admins and they were pretty good... later on into the game they seemingly vanished and were replaced by two admins who are former players and are bias vs certain players in the game.  The game has HUGE exploitation potential and its used to the fullest and ignored by the admins.  Ive seen the admins ban people from the game for doing something wrong on the forum which in my opinion is wrong.  Heres the thing though, admins give 3 chances for someone to turn their act around if their being bad.  1st is a 3 day ban.  2nd is a 7 day ban.  3rd is a permanent ban.  A little while ago myself and a few others recieved permanent bans for flaming on the forum.  Now if anyone wants to visit the Star Sonata forum and look around you will notice its 70% flames and mostly by people other then us.  We have never been banned before so it should have been a 3 day ban but its permanent bbecause the admins dont like us.  Former players remember?

Let me name off some other problems with this game.

1) Its a full release that you pay 10$ a month to play and its buggy as hell.  I lost one of my ships to a bug and was unable to play the game for about 2 days and it took the admins 5 days to retrieve my ship after that.  Did i get credited for their lack of bug fixing ability?  No.  Bugs are rarely fixed properly as well.

2) The way the game works, it can be controlled by a single player and it is.  There is currently a super high level player who greifs endlessly throughout the game and admins refuse to ban him and give no reason why.  He actually blockades people from accessing certain parts of the game with bases.  Those bases are always active of course even when hes offline.  So people cannot access large portions of the game because he feels like it.

3) The Player-Admin relations are near non-existant, admins nerf and unbalance items/skills/etc without any notice whatsoever costing players alot of money.  You can PM an admin proof of griefing and he will actually ignore you. 

4) The playerbase is small so if you are pissed at someone or something you cant avoid them.  They can chase you around the universe and kill you repeatedly easily, not only that but this game has a harsh death penalty.  You can drop weapons and items when you die.  Expensive ones.

5) The server is a peice of crap and lag is almost constant. 

This game is indeed pretty in depth, problem is the admins are garbage.  Anyone who downloads this game will enjoy it at first, but it will progressively get worse for them.
