Yes, its rated on a 5 point scale instead of a 10 point scale.

However, as a side note, im playing it, and paid the £4 to get the weeks premium membership to just help queue priority on day of release, ive enjoyed the game that much that yesterday i jumped into a 90 day premium membership.
Yes it has its problem, but i do enjoy the combat and at level 35ish ive not got close to getting bored of it yet, also given the nuking of the gold-sellers today life in chat is actually a lot better.
This post is all my opinion, but I welcome debate on anything i have put, however, personal slander / name calling belongs in game

The game has the depth of a puddle but I enjoy it for what it is. I'm beyond pessimistic about games with a massive scope being promised these days anyway.
That crafting system though. BLECH!
The only time a review is worth anything at all is if you know the reviewer and respect his opinion. This is a nothing site hungry for advertising and the favor of a big company.
How come I didn't see you post the this same excuse for the other reviews posted in this forum. This is one person's review no different than the other reviews that have been posted in this forum. My only intent with this thread is to counter all of the BnS haters who relish in posting negative reviews on this site knowing full well that reviews are a dime a dozen and vary depending on a persons preferred play style.

Blueturtle, no one is claiming that there is a strong hate for the game. Like any other game, it has its supporters and it has its detractors. I simply created a thread as a means to counter the threads by the game's detractors basking in the light of negative reviews. Am I allowed to do that or are only those threads showing negative reviews allowed? That said, I am fully prepared to take the hit from the game's haters for starting this thread just as Bill was by the game's supporters when he posted his "Review in Progress" thread. My only point is where there is a ying there's a yang. Maybe now there will be no more of these silly negative review threads popping up anymore because they are meaningless, and amount to nothing more than just another individual's personal point of view. If this thread accomplishes in doing that, I'm satisfied. No need for anyone to take it personal.

As I said, unless it's a reviewer who you trust it's just an opinion of one person and with the industry how it is that's meaningless because money changes opinions in the blink of an eye.

Paying off an internet celebrity may be worth it but the idea that NCsoft is paying for favorable reviews on sites whose reviews rarely get 500 hits laughable.
A company like NCsoft or Square is more likely to advertise on your site if you give their game a good review (to a small site this is a HUGE deal), they are more likely to give you review copy, for free they are more likely to let you review a game before the embargo ends (big deal), they are more likely to fly you out to a fancy castle holiday to "review" their game if they know you play ball.
Also look at the guy that showed metacritic link above, see those 100/100 perfect scores that push up the average on the game? notice they are nothing sites that give laughably high scores? It does not matter if a site gets 50 hits, it matters that that 50 hit site that gives your game a 90 or 100 score pushes up the average on meta.

It's not looking good, currently, as Metacritic has recorded only two reviews (one for 65 out of 100, the other for 52).
