I keep wanting to dive into this game, but I have so much going on with WoW and Pillars of Eternity's mini expansion is days away. Ugh, I worry the game might close down before I can really give it a go.

im skeptical on how large this zone will be.

the game needs alot more for the huge gap its had in the last year for vet players- this wont be enought = they need multiple zones= much like an official expansion. imo. the dungeon and raid..well, meh

I've been subbed since the beginning, and really don't see this game shutting down. The Steam release will definitely boost the numbers. Theres a huge untapped community of MMO players out there who just will see it, and simply try it. Some will fall in love, others will pass, but the game will get a huge boost from this.

I would suggest you try it!

Have they optimised the engine yet or it still runs like crap even on powerful rigs?
If you are a Star Wars fan, why not try the Star Wars The Old Republic?

I don't agree with dukey too much, but I do here.. Give the game a shot, nothing else like it.

Does anyone really care if games are on steam or not? Since when is this a news worthy thing?

Steam to me... seems to be that 3 for $5 DVD rack you see at Walgreen's or somethin, awesome titles but garbage.  Don't get me wrong.. I look at steam everyday just not to buy games.

Adding Tera to Steam got the game a huge boost. Steam is another platform to bring a game to a whole audience of players who might have never known about it otherwise. Not everyone visits sites like these, and I've known quite a few people that don't know about the existence of some MMOs/games.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Steam could be a good thing for Wildstar.  I feel their F2P model is quite fair and I was surprised at the number of people I talked to who had never even heard of the game.

Although I've tried to get into this game on four seperate occasions and it never stuck, I wish them well.
This additional exposure may help them keep afloat and I hope they succeed for their fans.
Nothing is worse than the game you like going away.

I truly doubt WildStar is going to catch the Steam community off guard with a sleeper hit. At best it will be a minor temporary surge.

Knight Online had 21,000 active players since it came out on Steam...KNIGHT...ONLINE

    Wildstar will do fine...

That doesn't say much. 21K players online through Steam. But how many are new to KO becasue of Steam vs How many of those were already playing KO just switched over to launch the game from Steam ? For this to mean anything, we would need to know how many of the 21K never played KO before?

So for WS, Since I already have Steam, if I were an Active WS player, I'd uninstall NCSoft''s launcher and just use Steam. I would show up in Steam's registry for WS but I wouldn't be a new player.

After all I've read on neogaf about employees experiences (with some of it being actually confirmed) I am good with this game. There's no way it will survive with the horrifying way it's handled and how patches are implemented.

This game is full of potential. Playing since Beta I will say that despite the times between Drops, the game has been evolving into a much better game than initial release. Though I miss some of the challenges it had, this game is at a great place for a decent recovery. Wildstar is well worth the look and we'll worth indulging in.

This Drop just shows they are trying to give some new and add to the old. I think it's a smart move with the dynamic content and look forward to raiding on PTR

Good thing about steam is a good way to get there game showed to million of users and don't have to deal with AD Block what most people use this days and not getting to target amount user.

But anyhow people who are playing wildstar that still playing will tell you if the game is dead or not who are really playing I have feeling people not playing it saying the game it's dead.

If Adblock kills WildStar, then the game has much bigger problems.

My brother had bought it when it came out and played it for a few weeks before giving it up.  It's a good game, just it doesn't seem like a game that someone would sit for hour long game sessions playing, which I find is a problem with most games that use active dodging.  It might be because the system is tiring so it limits how long a play session someone has, or it could be that the questing isn't very interesting.

Still, it's good to see more high quality choices to burn some off hours with on the steam store.

"new epic raid called Redmoon Terror" all the best gear is locked behind stupid hardcore raids that only single people that are willing to revolve their life around raiding will ever see + some of the most elitist DPS montiors you will ever see in a mmo.
