I agree on part, but if RSI is not paying mmorpg.com for the advertisment Erillion keeps posting daily then yes this one should also be pulled. Clearly the TOS I always thought did not allow advertising for free on the site. But maybe i'm just confused on how they state it in the rules.

Yet in other posts the whiteknights say even bad posts are great advertising. But could you show me where it is just information and how advertising would be something different than what Erillion does!

Well you attack me saying I do not care. Yet I see you didn't even look at the link.
"Claims
Advertising that promotes specific features or makes claims about what a product or service can do for the potential customers provides successful results by informing, educating and developing expectations in the buyer. Claims can state facts or simply use hype, such as calling one brand of orange juice "the best" when nutritionally it is identical to other brands. Claims may mislead through omission or by using what some advertisers and political campaigners call "weasel words." These are subtle statement modifiers that render the claim meaningless if studied closely. Common weasel words include "helps," "fights" and "virtually.""

He has 5 or more different threads promoting Star Citizen information. They need to just consolidate ALL of thoes threads into 1 single thread and stop all the BS.
Also, I dont think posting in a two month old thread is considered a necro.

This involves getting customers to generate advertising through blogs, websites, wikis and forums, for some kind of payment.[citation needed] Customer-generated advertising can also be used without payment being made. For example, a satisfied customer of a product may boast about their experience on social media. This message may then lead someone else to buy that product. The consumer did not do this with the intention of getting money out of their shared message, but that is what can happen. Especially with a channel as large and as effective as social media, sharing ones opinion, positive or negative can be good or bad advertising for a product.
So not information only he is actually doing both. MMORPG should be getting paid for what he does.
I presume your intention was to post this somewhere else, not on MMORPG.
And how exactly is this "fair game policy" ? I'm really confused here. Is the creator of the thread in question providing false info ? Is what he wrote there a lie or speculation ? Is it some sort of propaganda ?
Let me get this straight. You people keep throwing mud indiscriminately at CR, his wife, his coworkers, CIG staff and almost everyone involved with SC / SQ42. And when someone posts valid and documented info about DS you rush to accuse him for being derisive. Really ?

One word comes in my mind. Hypocrisy..
You people really like saying his name, lol. It reminds me of the CR response to TheEscapist article he posted on CIG site. He practically made the entire thing (article) about Derek Smart. So hilarious.

So you deny none of the SC whiteknights, backers, employee's never attacked LOD on steam or here? Oh and you do not see a difference when someone uses their own money next to others money?

If it were advertiesment, dont you think one of the staff @mmorpg.com would stop him?
Maybe we should ask @MikeB if its advertisement or not.

I have asked in treads and also in reports and have never been given an answer. Maybe it is still being looked at, one thing I know the infighting between whiteknights and deniers bring a LOT of clicks to the site. Which isn't a bad thing. They make money we keep our great site.

Erillion does exactly that!
There has been a person who does what Erillion does here for just about every game I can remember. They used to get titles for it, " SWG/AOC/etc...correspondent or something like that. A lot of what they posted could be seen as advertising at least by the guideline you just posted.
They all have shared the same types of things Erillion does. General info, item breakdowns, feature breakdowns, dev interviews/vids, patch notes,etc... in great abundance. They all received about the same type of treatment here from a certain segment of posters as well... It's really nothing new, nor something MMORPG.com seemed to have an issue with. As I said they used to earn titles for it.
