I used to support sub fees but not anymore,i feel NONE of these games are offering enough of a MMO feel to warrant ANY cash shop or sub fees.There are of course varied differences,but MOST of those are just devs carrying more overhead than needed. Ask yourself,when is the last time you got FAST customer support,,not often if ever.Ask yourself,deos the game seem like it has active GM's?NOT often.Instead they have a kiosk of 3 people that try to cover every single server OR in case of small games like some of Trions and DBG,you get email responses and often automated ones.
SO where are these added millions going?Hearthstone pulls in 20 mil a month,does it look like any of that goes back into the game,nope.EVERY content idea is usually charged to us,so all tha tadded support money,goes in their pockets when claiming they NEED IT.They few exceptions are "misleading"unfinished games finally delivering content that was missing from release.
My point is the "B2P" tag we have been using of late,is really all these games deserve,they are no better than single player games and in many cases not even as good as single player games. The ONLY reason we are seeing so many login screens is devs see it as an added way to keep making money from games that do not deserve it.
BDO does have some work put into the art assets/direction but aside from that ,i would argue it is a very average game.

Their game looks good, but its 3 years old, and is ONLY being brough to NA markets and EU markets at this point to bolster sales for their next game that they wont bring to NA and EU markets til its been used up and is three years old in Asia again.
Secondly, the games classes are completely gender locked, and the game itself has NO in game raids, NO world bosses other than a hand full of elites that can can be soloed and done with three people. It has NO armor customization outside of color combo. The voice over work is absolutely terrible. BEYOND Terrible. In fact so bad I would suggest turning off sound during cutscenes as it will only distract you from the small, worthless kill quests. Speaking of that, the questing is a JOKE. HORRIBLY implemented, cluttered UI, half assed cut scenes that don't give any info, but just generally try to paraphrase what was translated poorly. This is possibly the poorest example of a market transition for an MMO I have seen in two years.
Then theres the amazing auto pathing system that is broken and constantly gets you stuck on objects. Furthermore, WHO THE HELL USES AUTO PATHING IN AN MMO?!?!?! WHY!? "I want to play a game... but I don't actualy want to play it." ?? This is just so bad its unbelievable. They had a great concept, great combat look, and COMPLETELY GAVE UP ON MAKING A PRODUCT FOR THE PLAYER! IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY HERE PEOPLE!
Its joke status all the way around. I mean 360 degrees of it. If you are a serious gamer about mmo's, you MUST stay away from this handholding, poorly designed, cluttered, flashy, turd of a creation that they force you to buy to try the beta, then refuse you a refund NOT BEFORE YOU PLAY IT; nah youre not that lucky even.

Third, the shop is HIGHLY overpriced considering the game hasn't even established itself as being worth the initial buying.
Lastly, and foremost, HOLY CRAP is their return policy shady. YES its states in the agreement that you are going to give away your right to a refund in the agreement... but it does so in small print, half way down the agreement. KNOWINGLY because most people don't read it because the average gamer does NOT have the patience and younger gamers and gamers who aren't college level readers feel it is to advanced in terminology.
This game literally brings very little sandbox to the table, and even less in PVE, and the PVP is questionable considering the amount of lag experienced in larger fights.
PLEASE do not support this company or this game. Save your money and put it towards companies that are at least a little more transparent, maybe providing a more diverse product, and are not in the habit of trying to adopt modified marketing schemes taken from companies like EA.

1) The game was only released in Korea in July 2015 - it hasn't been out for 3 years! 2) The classes are not completely gender locked, some are but not all. 3) You can download the launcher and still get a refund 4) The refund policy is quite clearly displayed on the page you buy the game on 5) When you first go to log into the game, it clearly states on the log in screen that if you proceed you will not be able to get a refund.
All the rest of your rant is just opinion. For example the translation and voice acting is fairly in line with what I have seen in other Asian games, and in fact some is pretty good. The auto pathfinding actually is quite handy in this game, it fits into how the game is set up. And I don't really see how implementing pathfinding equates to the game being all about the money?
And what is this about needing a college degree to be able to read the refund facts? Here is what the FAQ say about a refund on the page you preorder from:

How many decades must pass until before people start understanding the concept of a good MMORPG? If it's not P2P, it's simply a waste of time, end of discussion. WoW / FF14 got it right and have a few million subs, and WoW being up since 2004 and still outperforms the last 20 titles combined, and the 20 titles being F2P, go figure.
There is a reason why these OLD games are able to stay pay to play...people have way too much time invested in them so they either go back or just stay there.
It isnt as simple as making a game and slapping a sub fee on it every game pretty much has tried it and failed the past 10 years. So to think some game will come out of the blue and make it work is naive at best.
You think if EvE, WoW, or any other sub game came out next week they would be able to hold subs a year from now? Not hardly. Eve is free to play anyway for most people because they run multiple accounts and buy PLEX so I would say the guys who play the most are playing for free. I havent played EvE in 5 years but I have dozens of PLEX so if I wanted to I could play for a few years free. Probably getting that way with WoW as well since they have introduced sub currency to the game.
I admit I was taken aback when I saw the check box at my first login. I never buy a preorder with the intention of charging it back if I don't like it, but this time it seemed the dev expected people to charge back. Maybe they are worried what people will think of the game when they first play it. But I like it, it has a lot of systems you don't usually get in a mmo and as a lot say it has great graphics which is important to me. So far combat is fun and I really don't mind that there are no instanced dungeons. I haven't played in those in years except in FFXIV which did them incredibly well.

Yea, complaining about people with 1st world problems on an MMORPG site, which is like, a genre specifically made for 1st worlders with too much free time on their hands, seems kinda foolish to me.
Same old PoS Asian cash grab "game." Daum refused to give refund so I went to my CC company, called them and they gave me a refund while canceling payment to Daum.
The people pissed off over the return policy are the same people who will play it for a month or so then request a refund cause they no longer want to play. Its the same as buying a movie, watching it 15 times then taking it back cause it sucked.. yup makes sense, only gamers.
This game is about as pay to win as AA was but with a lot more detail, better combat and a more in depth trade/crafting system.
Advise for those worried about the return policy; watch some gameplay, read some reviews with a clear mind not set to jump on the first negative bandwagon you can find. Wait about a month or so to see what's going on with it. Then try it out!

personally i don't care about cosmetic shit. i love the fact that this game doesn't have a sub. they got to make their money somehow, so why not with fancy costumes? as others have mentioned even WoW (which has a sub by the way) has mounts for sale. Aion did it too. even Dota does it. many games do it.
as long as they don't start selling gear that gives advantage in pvp, or mats required for crafting and stuff, i dont really care. cosmetics is just eye candy, and you can still buy a couple of costumes and spend less money than you would paying a sub over 6 months or a year.
Yeah sure, go spend your money on this game... I dont see this game getting big just because there are a lot of free 2 play games out there. I really believe that Black Desert and this B2P plan is just a money grab and than transition to free to play.
