A compliment to the players of this game

Last night I decided to give Eve another try, so I reactivated my account. Seeing as I havent logged in for months I had no idea what system I was in or even how to pilot my ship. Upon logging in I was blown to bits by someone, just as it was happening I had a CTD. When I logged back in my pod was blown to bit by another player. I wasn't mad about it, in fact I found it kind of funny.

So I decided to send the person a message and explain what happened. What did he do? He gave me some money to make up for the kill. That wasn't why I sent him a message, nor did I even think about the money factor. A short time later the person who blew up my pod sent me an apology and some money also.

So hats off to the people playing this game.

    Hah, that's the typical attitude for most players in eve, and that's why I love this game. It's a great place to play. :)

    I would have paid too, but reason why you probably got isk is that you didnt ask for it and you didnt flame and instead just told what happen. Some players would flame like "YOU "##%&¤&/ I crashed to desktop and you noobs killed me" and only achive getting ignored or laughe at.

    Yeah this game is one of the greatest Games i´ve ever played.

    The People, the Community is the greatest of all the MMORPG games.

    You are right that most players would of screamed and yelled. I don't see how I had any right to be mad. The game is a pvp game after all.

    Wonderful game and comunity indeed. Maybe because most people playing the game actually need to use their brain :)

    One of the mmorpgs with more female players aswell wich is rather interesting.

    Well in all honesty EVE has some real ignorant people too. I mean the worst i've ever met in a mmorpg. But overall EVE does have a good community and thats one of its strengths as a game.

    I believe Eve online has such a high concentration of mature and generous players simply due to the need for this type of personality to really play the game. Most people who play other grindfest MMOs require an instant reward system (bash wolf with hammer: get crackerjack prize) and, fortunately for the most part, cannot tolerate a game without this element. Most people with this mentality that I have spoken to who have experienced Eve say something along the lines of "That game sucks! it's boring!" which means they likely said "OMG this is hard I quit!!!!!!11" while playing the game, and IMO is for the best. This helps the game itself actively filter out the immature players from the game and really leave the cream of the crop. It's really so easy to make money in the game that most players are happy to share, both cash and information, and I think most people are really here for the community as much as for the game.

    Everytime I hear the phrase: "Eve is a great game, but isn't for everyone." I smile, because a little voice in my head says: "That's absolutely correct. This game is for adults, no smacktards allowed."

    Excuse the mindless babbling this may have turned into: seven (or eight?) shots of 151 last night, and I can *still* feel it.

    Oh, and, First post ^_^ a full year after registering.
