Nice layout, might copy something like that Didn't think of using the crop for this.
Didn't understand the people complaining about a cluttered UI. It's got so many customization options, including the ability to just turn most of them on/off.

Most folks don't realize they can turn it off, frankly. So the default is there, it's what they see, and they go "yuck". Which honestly, is not their fault. But yeah, customizing it at least a little is the way to go.

Yeah, I see a lot of complaints that can easily be solved by players just opening up their options menu.
Everything from UI to the color/tint of their screen to turning down effects.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
Knew about the cropping, but didn't know this. This would be amazing with my ultra wide, but wish could edit the size of each part separately as the level/energy bar and mini map I like having small and other bigger
For me, a setup like that is even more immersion breaking than having a cluttered UI on top of the game. It looks like he's playing BDO through a window. I was very easily able to clean up the UI and have a ton of open screen space by simply using the UI editor.
You can customise the UI how you like. I turned off most of the clutter and scaled the rest down. I like ESO's type of UI. Spending a little bit of time I got BDO's UI to how I like it.

Yes, I agree that the UI editor was enough to make things decent enough, without needing to use crop, at least for me.
But since my system dates a bit now and can't run this on very high on a 3 monitor setup I immediately thought that, with the crop feature, I could be able to keep the full center screen for the game itself and important info (hp and quickbar mainly) at 1080p resolution (which my rig can run appropriately) , and move the rest of the UI components (Chat, inventory, skills, etc.) on the side screens. This way I can run with a very "naked" main screen and have everything else on the side.
Really nice Layout, but i can only see myself playing like that on my 43" TV, not on my smaller 24-26" monitor.
With that said, i dont know why people think the base UI in BDO is cluttered when you have games like FFXIV and WoW (with addons) that make the game unplayable due to so many stuff on the screen. Its beyond me. The UI layout on the OP video is very nice, but even with those UI elements on the screen its not even close to the clutter in most other mmos.
Nice. The UI was one of the things that really annoyed me, but didn't want to learn how to organize it for just a beta weekend. The game looks so much better and inviting a immersive "world feel" with that clean look.
I saw that there was also a checkbox for "simple UI" or similar. I couldn't figure out what it does and saw no difference checking/unchecking it.. can anyone enlighten me on that?
The UI gets so much hate because its in your face at the start, covering an absolutely gorgeous world, and its no easy feat to wade through all the available options. Lends itself to a bad first impression, which is really something they should address to make entry into the game less daunting.
That being said, the customizability is pretty good, and I am absolutely going to copy this setup. Thank you for this.

Depending on how you can tweak that, this could be very useful for multi-monitors setup.

I like your setup.. doing the same, but ontop of the game...
There is no reason to have a cluttered interface in this game, it just takes a few clicks to reaorganise things.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Anyone got to try something like that?
