The reasoning behind the question is crystal clear.. will you buy?

I'm pretty sure I will buy some pets and probably inventory space. I don't care about looks, really.

Since the game doesn't have a sub, I will be fine with the cash shop if I feel I don't need to spend more than $15 a more to have fun. If I want to spend more, I will. I don't mind spending money to get "set up." If I feel like I need to keep spending money to keep up then I will drop the game and not look back.

I don't want to have to spend money on maintaining or "laundering" my gear, or perpetually increasing property taxes to keep my housing. Those kinds of things are out. I don't see that in this cash shop yet, so I'm alright. Ever since ArcheAge, though, I'm always paranoid and conspiracy minded. O.o

Shouldn't the second on down from the top be "I will try NOT to use it unless I really need"?

If so, that will be me.

A pet or two definitely and bag/storage slot as/if needed.
Never was that person who bought costumes, always preferred to craft if applicable.

I will be selective on my buying. but yes i will use it.

Currently with the prices on there i wont be using it since everything is overpriced imo. Till they fix that i wont be spending anything since its not worth as much as there asking for the stuff there selling.

I am only interested in two items from the cash shop, that is the storage expansion and the increased weight limit, that´s it.
  • AlleinAllein Member RarePosts: 2,139
I'll mainly use the "Loyalty" shop for free purchases within the cash shop.

Since I went with the $100 pack, I'll already have a costume (I'm a pretty clone) and enough for 3 pets.

Everything else of daily worth is "Loyalty" so can't buy it, just log in daily.

Weight limit and inventory slots are a maybe, but pretty easy to use a wagon while farming and even then it isn't that great for someone like me that won't be grinding mindlessly for countless hours at a time.

Maybe pick up more pets to upgrade, but basic tier will be wonderful after not having any on KR.

Could never figure out if Daum had sales for KR, but seemed like it, always a possibility to toss a few bucks at them, but even if I dropped another $50-100 the first year, not much different then playing a sub game.

If they go crazy P2W with RMT of cash shop to market, I won't be buying in and will play until I feel severely disadvantaged and no longer having fun. Hopefully it doesn't happen or at least takes a while.

I will probably buy a fishing boat if they sell one for about $20. Not sure if its just the skin for sale though at this point.

Both are doable via in-game means.
    With how much effort?

I guess the second option should be: "I will try NOT to use it unless I really need"?

When you already know the answer, is there really any reason to ask the question?

On topic: I went with cosmetics. What can I say. I'm a diva when it comes to my characters. xD

Mounts and convenience items are very close seconds though, but ultimately I went with the cosmetics. Of course given the current price tag from the beta, things might be different this time around. >.>

I will prolly use it for whatever purpose. As long as I am in the game. I always feel that is kind of like my Sub fee, and it's my contribution to the games development. If prices are not so high as they were in beta test, i'll be more inclined to spend a bit more.

Main thing I'm worried about is getting pets.  I don't think you can get them in-game.  They're not necessary per se but they do seem to be pretty helpful.

I was politely pointing it out in case he can change it. :) I saw your comments on EVE today, it is good to know we still have a MMO where people cannot understand posts about changes to a games gameplay. Not everything has been dumbed down to candy rewards and cash shop threads.

I'll take BDO as an Game WITH an Abo each month. So that makes me taking ~12€ aside each month. If i find then some interesting things, i'll buy them, if not that Money piles up for an "Special Offer" which we will see for sure at some point. No biggy at all and nothing to cry/whine about for me as i grew up with monthly fee anyways.

Like I do all other cash shops: I wont ever look at it

If there is something in there I want or need I limit my spending but have no problem getting it.

Usually I don't use the cash shop as there are only so many cosmetics that are worth it.

I've barely spent any money since Elder Scrolls Online introduced their cash shop.

    So far i came up with ;

    - pets, you want 3 of them and they are only available trough the pearlshop. some people might sell them over the auction house for silver coins, but i dont expect many of them the fist few months.

    - character slots.

    - Underwear, seems to give minor stats and is only available trough the webshop..  but those stas can also be gained in other ways..

    - skill repects, we all make mistakes dont we? and sometimes you want to try something new.

    - Cosmetics, to expensive right now, but when they are on a sale, might be fun to buy one..

In the end i dont mind spending money on games to keep them alive. Not to much, about as much as an oldfashioned subscription looks to be a nice amount.

I am a sucker for pets in a game. I just bought a Fox on ESO. I will buy a pet probably.
These pets loot for you too.

I'm honestly considering buying the game and buying two pets and considering the ~$50 the price I would normally pay for a good game.

Personally, I hate pets so I sort of dislike that I will "need" a pet in order to make my life easier.

Oh well, it is what it is.

Yeah I actually like that feature. Makes having the pet more than just a walk along companion. Now to just decide which pet...hhhmmmm.
Imagine you can breed your own pets...
    And get even better ones.

Downside you use 2 pets to breed a new one, and the orriginal pets dissapear in the process, leaving you with one less pet, and some new money to spend..   Now thats actually a good mechanic in a cash shop.. making sure people have an everlasting need of pets..

And you can also buy a pet with perals and then sell it on the Ah for ingame silvers.  With some people allways in need for more silvers and having enough real moey to spend, this makes the pets a really nice idea..

And people that dont want to spend real money in the cash shop, can buy pets with ingame money.
