 Runescape is the best free MMORPG. From it's hillarious graphics, to it's stupid combat, it is sadly the only free mmorpg that's decent.

If you look through our forums,  or even our Game List,  you will find 100s of games that you can play.  I also know that http://www.onRPG.com has a full list of "FREE" and Open BETA MMORPGs.

 eewww... Lets face it, no matter how many free mmorpg's there are, none are good. That took me 2 years to learn.

The reason why MMORPGs can't be "free" and good is because these games take up tons of human and computer resources.  That takes,  time and money.  If a game (I will use EverQuest for an example) was somewhat good and had good graphics,  and many updates...  but it was all FREE,  the company would lose tons of money and eventually go bankrupt because they could not support to live,  or make the game anymore.

I can't remember off hand what MMORPG it was,  but we (the site) where running an add on the top of the screen.  That game was free,  but cost the people over $150,000 USD to make it.

That's a lot of money to have a "free" game,  and it was decent... but they couldn't keep up on the updates like major gaming companies can.

See why "free" MMORPGs can't be super good.

 I already know why games can't be free, what boggles my mind is the uncountable amount of people who still ask for a good free mmorpg.
