best loading screen music

ah remember the days you loaded a mmorpg and it took minutes some to get into
so  was wondering what others loved.
to me despite not playing this game beyond the first month  i love the horizons loading music .
drove chills down my spine  when i first heard it

probably a good second would be everquest

anyone got a good one they want to share?

Well the FFXIV is simply amazing,the movie blows the doors off of any other game.
As well i also enjoy the music/movie combo in the redone version of FF3, i have been letting it run a lot lmao.

Not necessarily the "best"  musically speaking, but one I find myself still whistling now and then (it's probably been burned in my memory). It brings so much memory.. it has to be in the top list for me!

ah yeah this brings back memories too.
man did they make good music for games back then .felt epic and made you want to get to your toon and feel like a hero.then splat by some group of guys that spent 18 hours a day playing haha
good memories in daoc for sure
apart from the amazing RvR memories i do have some saddens since a long time player and online guidie and friend died (in real life) and did not find out till later and watched the ingame funeral on yoututube.was very touching

STO is my favorite.  When I played, I would frequently sit on the login screen and just listen to it over and over.

Haha the start of Lineage 2 theme ,,i was waiting for SHANE ....SHANE   come back Shane !!!  Then it totally goes off in a different direction ,like music from an old western  where the sherriff is chasing the bandits on horses.

Camelot is like with those horns ,,,an entrance  by the KING !!

The EQ music is weird,it's like a mix between a MIDI track mixed over an orchestra piece.

STO now that is 100% nostalgia,,i was a big trekkie fan ,watched every show.Jimmy me boy!!....Finnigan ?

Horizons sounds like it could be a real Orchestra,sounds pretty good.

I remember in my younger days i was an impatient punk lmao,i would skip by all the intros ,now a days i love watching the movies and music that goes into these games.

EQ1 have to admit the music is certainly not crisp  so yes for me nostalgia plays a good part in it.still nice though

STO is cool, I too used to leave it on sometimes...

AoC has an awesome OST cd (two, actually) but the main theme is a bit simple compared to the music in game. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool track, and Knut is an amazing composer, love my AoC discs. But if the question is for the favourite loading one, I'd definitely say LotRO.

Funny thing is when Rohan arrived and Chance "refreshed" the loading track (Legacy) I remember I posted "not bad, a nice fit for Rohan, but I liked the previous one better, it was lighter, more mild, while the new one is filled with heavy sounds and instruments, the overall feel is more combat-focused".
Well, after all these years I got used to the new one so much, that I seeked up the original one to post it here, and... I think I like the new one better now
