They can't manage to launch it.

First the server screw ups that split guilds on day one of early release. Then Conquerors package delivery debacle. Now they can't manage to launch the game on launch day. Maintenance extended 2 times so far, currently says servers to open at 12pm eastern.

But the PvE guilds who thought they wouldn't have to PvP, salty are their tears. Tasty too.

My guess, 1 month at minimum. You want things to be smooth. Wait 3 months.

They already said they will not just make male and female.

They will make an opposite sex version of the classes.

    Witch ( Female ) / Wizard ( Male )

    Warrior ( Male ) / Valyrie ( Female )

    Ninja ( Male ) / Kunuchi ( Female )

So expect opposite sex versions for

    Beserker

    Sorcerer

    Tamer

    Archer

No, no opposite sex versions for Beserker, Sorcerer, Tamer or Archer.

Will there be any male counterparts for Ranger, Sorceress, Valkyrie, and Tamer?

It is hard to give a concrete answer to this matter because we are always trying our best to create a truly fun and innovative character, rather than copying an existing one, with a sex change. Creating the same class, but a different gender, takes almost the same amount of resources as creating a completely new class. This has changed the overall direction of class development towards creating new classes, which will provide an entirely new experience for players.

Currently, there is no plan to create a male version of Ranger, Sorcerer and Tamer. We might however provide a counterpart that offers a similar look and feel such as Valkyrie vs. Warrior with slight adjustments to fit its nature.

They cant, male and female have different annimations...    As other posts indicate, to much work for such a thing..

they might however over time add male counterclasses like warlock vs sorceress or arcane-archer vs ranger..

Yes, so lets give them a free pass for all of their screw ups.

Yep, no one is allowed to complain about anything MMO launch related because other MMOs in the past also launched in a similarly sorry state.

So, let this be a lesson to all MMO developers and publishers out there: dont even bother to try for a competent launch, because as sure as the tide people will say "this is a standard MMO launch".

If you had any idea what it means to launch anything as large as an MMO, the software and hardware you need to get working together. On top of that working with different ISPs. No matter how much you test, you have no clue how things will go till you launch in the real world. You can plan all you want but plans go out the window once real life hits them. So yes, all MMOs get a pass in their first few weeks.
