Great article. "Tiny details like fireflies that hover near campfires or mist rising from a bog are materializing each day." I love those kinds of things.

EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

    Good read.

I eagerly await Pantheon, as a return to MMO roots with a modern twist.

Great read Brad! Thank you so much for staying so connected to your audience. We are all very excited for this project!
If there's one thing you can say for Brad, it's that, despite his ups and downs along the way, he's always been incredibly communicative with his communities.

It's those things that separate a game from a virtual world.  It's the little things that really immerse you.

This is one of the things I loved about FFIV:  heat haze on the horizon in the desert, seeing the wind blowing, storms moving in, etc.

On that note, I hope Brad and the guys have a great weather system in their game.  I'm a fanatic for weather in games -- so many games seem to completely ignore this when designing their worlds.

I clearly specified the weather in my post, but not to diminish the fireflies... fireflies are awesome, too.

Looks good, but mechanics are my end all. I look forward to the first details about combat, world and character development systems.
