Colin wouldn't discuss it in detail, but he did say in the AMA that he is leaving to be closer to family and to allow his wife to pursue a dream/project that she has been waiting to pursue for a while.
Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women...
Boobs are LIFE, Boobs are LOVE, Boobs are JUSTICE, Boobs are mankind's HOPES and DREAMS. People who complain about boobs have lost their humanity.
GW2 was delivered, it's had it's first expansion. All that is to do is more expansions. In other words, the real fun was in the creation of GW2. People like new things to work on, a new job often is the quickest ticket to that end.

Makes me wonder if it s NC Soft decision making that makes the devs not have freedom and not want to be tied by a company across the sea.
Hey, he is swinging a sword again?!!

I hope they're looking outside of Arenanet. I really was disappointed with GW2.
I found lots of GW2 ideas to be good at concept stage, but the problem with Anet is they start 10 different projects and never seem to bother to finish any of them. Instead, few months down the line they start new ones and just go quiet on the old ones. I'd rather have them do less stuff but actually do it right.
If you look at patches .... Cash shop updates only freaking cash shop updates ...
Amazon Studios are doing MOBAs and online shooters.
How I know, their job posting and engine website are rather clear on what they are for.
Never the less I wish hime and his family the best!!!
