Confused

First, is there a way to make it to where the scenery isn't blurry past a certain distance. Outside of like 500 yards or so, everything is blurry. I have Windows 10 and everything turned up. I read really great things and seen some gorgeous videos, but what I'm seeing ingame is average for a game a couple years old.

Next, I've talked to some NPC's and one of them had a minigame. There weren't any instructions. I raised amnity, whatever that means, but nothing came of it. I did that a few times, and still nothing. I have no idea what I'm doing regarding that, so off I go to do some more spirit quests that involve killing.

Oh, I also talked to a NPC that said something about a node, but I need to unlock the one prior to that. He shown me the one prior on the map, but when I get there, all I see are Imps. Nothing to click, unlock, or whatever. The lack of explanations for key game features is becoming a turnoff. I could use some guidance regarding these things.

Thanks

There is an option in the graphic settings to turn the distance blurr off.

The Amity minigame with NPC conversation is simple. When you open the conversation screen you will see a level of favor and interest (or something like that). YOu want to choose conversation options that are higher or equal to that NPC's interest level for a higher chance to succeed at gaining amity. On that same screen, at the bottom left of the screen you see the a circle with amity level. There you can see some NPCs have certain little icons around the circle. Gaining amity with that NPC will fill up the circle clockwise and unlock those icons (special quests, special amity merchandise, etc). I noticed some NPCs dont have any icons on the little amity circle so i dont know if they offer anything later on.

Sorry i still have no idea how Nodes work.

To the left of your mini map you should see an icon named Guide. It has videos that shows you how things like Nodes work.

Thanks to another post, I understand I can talk to the spirit for a guide.

Everything has a quest that explains it. If you skipped it or just weren't looking for quests as you travel. Then there's one of your issues. This game doesn't hold your hand. If you want information, it's available. But you have to go out and search for it in-game or out. Use the Black Desert Bible, wiki, and in-game guides. This very site has an elementary video on how to use nodes if you looked for the answer before asking the question to have others do the legwork for you.

There is likely a node manager you haven't discovered yet. Look around, sometimes the managers can even be objects. Be patient and the confusing
     stuff will com to you.

Lol. The BDO forums are overflowing with player guides for everything in the OP's post. If that's not enough, try one of the wiki sites, BDFoundry or BDTome for example.

Be sure that all of your quests are turned on by pressing O and then 'All' in the top right of your quest list.  Default is to only have Combat quests on.  By the time you hit Velia (around level 9/10) you should have a ton of different kind of quests available.
