For $500, you can get the VR device, the camera, and two PlayStation
Move controllers. You’ll also get a copy of
PlayStation VR Worlds, Sony’s Nintendoland-like package of five VR games including The London Heist. :

it actually costs $520 not $400, as both the camera and move are $60 each and sold separately. The only good news is only the camera is mandatory, so they're only lying about the $60 not the whole $120
Don't you need Playstation camera, and Playstation move controllers for the full experience ?
This was a major concern for me too since I don't own the PlayStation Camera or Move controllers, until this new piece of news about an awesome bundle.

The undercutting is real: Oculus $600 and HTC Vive $800
Competitive price, such specifications, much wow!
of the three Sony VR is the least impressive spec wise. HTC Vive blows both completely away with what it can do VR wise
HTC Vive + Oculus require a beast computer to properly run games. I personally don't have the money to fork out to reach those required specifications, meanwhile my PS4 is already capable of PSVR. I'm hoping the PSVR will offer a similar VR experience as the other two for a cheaper price.
Also you cant beat Sony and the 50 game lineup they have planned before the end of the year. ;p

I completely understand. Its the same reason many people shop the bargin bins at walmart
they just tend to not get quite as excited about getting a cheaper version of something at walmart as you do ...ha!
just joking....but...not
p.s. Oculus currently as 176 games with an extra 100 planned by the end of the year
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
How could anyone turn der back on 100-foot Robot Golf!? = Insta Buy PSVR XD
I might hold off a bit and may try to shoot up to the better versions... or wait until the price comes down a bit... will be a while before we see them in the bargin bins. XD

I get what you've been trying to say since your first post.
HTC Vive is
great, Oculus if wonderful... and PSVR is dissatisfying to you since it has lesser
specifications. However, the fun and affordable experience is what matters most to me personally, and you simply cannot beat the super competitive price.
PSVR will sell like
hotcakes compared to the $600 Oculus & $800 HTC Vive regardless of
the many games Oculus has lined up since again the PSVR price will be far more appealing to consumers.
SonyVR is lacking in specifications compared to the others, however it far surpasses the others in affordability.
I get what you've been trying to say since your first post.

P
i could not disagree more strongly.
The 'overall experience' does include 'pain to the wallet' but it also includes, better resolution, better response time, able to stand up during expereince, able to walk around during experience, more games.
If what you just said is true then everyone would be playing mobile apps games because the COST would be the primary motovating factor in the experience.
i could not disagree more
but yes, there is a tier level to these devices

Sorry you feel that way.
I think the PSVR experience will provide just as I said above in my post (which you cut out)
An entry level experience to VR would be the PSVR, sure it may have a slightly lesser experience, 1080p resolution versus an potentially unnecessary 4k, and slower response time which could cause motion sickness during long playtimes, but it's all about the experience. I've always had an inferior experience with weaker components, but that's never stopped me from having fun. I'm pretty sure 4K is great but surely the 1080P version will offer a fun experience too if done right.
Owning an Oculus or HTC Vive is for enthusiasts or those who want a hardcore VR experience (A superior one). I on the other hand and surely many others would be perfectly fine with the entry-level VR experience.
, sure it may have a slightly lesser experience, 1080 resolution versus an potentially unnecessary 4k,
comments like THAT is why I am debating with you.
console fanboys go to all kinds of extreemes.
does 4k matter? YES yes it does. if resolution didnt matter none us would have 1080p to begin with! also when you are 1 inch away from the screen resolution and distance between pixels matters a lot more.
Sony VR is the discount version of VR..PEROID.. not 'well nobody cares about resolution or power' excuses
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
As long as sony gets the 'lesser specification' VR experience just right~ I'm sure very few will complain...
Nobody could complain about the price.
I don't know all of the deeper details about VR. I didn't come on here to start a VR war, and I'm sure whichever device you decide to support will be fantastic choice.
I'm not trying to say the PSVR experience will be greater than the others, and actually agree that the weaker specifications will probably indeed be a lesser experience.
I'm just saying that the entry experience will probably be fun, and will sell more cause of affordability.
Let's keep things civil and return to the topic at hand about the awesome $500 bundle they plan to offer in a couple of days. March 22nd* http://kotaku.com/the-playstation-vr-bundle-is-a-pretty-good-deal-1765676061 -------------------------- I apologize for blindly walking into that debate... I really don't
know
much about VR. I really just wanted to share the bundle article
from kotaku. Although, 1080p sounds
perfectly fine in my books, and I've never experienced 4k before. I'm
used to having an inferior experience, but that never stopped me from
having fun in the games that Iv played. - Hope the same will apply to PlayStation VR.
I
made a few mistakes in my previous posts (which after re-reading I can
see how you would get annoyed.) I really need to type carefully before
posting, since an entire line which was suppose to direct my point was
abandoned. I felt a sense of urgency to get my words out quickly which
made me sloppy, and caused confusion.

I think if you ever get to compare the two you will notice what I am talking about. Never the less, yes its better to get into VR even if its a discounted version.
I just get frustrated with so many people pew pewing VR in general but as soon as the word 'Sony' is spoken people are all postive. (not you specfically just generally)

HTC Vive - High Level Specifications
Oculus - Mid Level Specifications
PSVR - Entry level Specifications
ALL SHALL BE GREAT! (Said by everyone who wants VR to succeed)
I personally will be ordering mine online) but may wait til they ALL reduce in price (which they will)
I'm pretty sure in the end I'll end up owning both the PSVR + Oculus.... but damn that $500 bundle will probably get me into VR far earlier!
Wonder if its the same for others? Haha.
