BDO is just like darkfall, Mortal online and EvE post 45. NO different.
That is almost 100% false, perhaps the biggest difference being that you cannot loot other players' gear in BDO.
Mind elaborating on how BDO is not like those games other than full loot?
Full loot is a pretty major component of those games and affects how they play a lot. You said it is "just like" without any other information. Someone might assume that means full loot as that is pretty much what people that dislike those games complain about the most. I can see YashaX's point there.
But - yes, the PvP is something people should certainly be aware of if they are looking to play it as a PvE game.
For me is BDO a farming simulator, some people like fishing or trading more. By everything else (outside of graphics) It has a lot of shortcomings. In some areas is BDO bellow the average f2p game.A mmo in which you can't trade with other players is directly absurd. Corporate greed glows. Non existing / poor team play, poor character development, confusing hack & slash gameplay,...list would be long. All BDO uniqueness in the sense of energy, node,..system is kinda lost, since activities are more ''low passive income'' in comparison with grinding, and i'm quite good when it comes to farming :pleased:

Pretty sure if they were as greedy as everyone claims they would just flat out sell better weapons and armor in the shop and allow them to be placed on the auction house.
Poor team play?
If that is your character in the picture, then it is pretty obvious you haven't seen PvP since your only lvl 33. PvE it is probably true to a point, but overall the game has plenty of things that basically forces you to work together.
Poor Character Development?
The skill tree lets you literally fill EVERYTHING out given enough time. Also the fact you can mess up on your skill tree if you don't do any research, something MMO's haven't done for quite a while. Not to mention the fact that you can do every profession on one character if you so desired. There's always something to go for in this MMO.
As for the combat, it really comes down to personal preference. While I will say its not as good as some hack and slash games, it still does a pretty good job of letting you outplay people. Again, this is more around lvl 50 than at early levels. (Also, you're playing a witch? I found their abilities to be fairly straight forward.)
Look, I'm glad that you enjoy farming, but trying to comment on things you haven't tried is simply pathetic.

Willful ignorance

Like what? I doubt that there is any hack & slash game with good teamplay in the first place. They are quite solo focused, BDO is no exception. Why do you mention pvp & teamplay? Not all are interested in pvp in the first place. I'm a pve player, but ironically I had pvp in Black Desert at lvl 30 already (in the arena). But it is a bit strange, that a pvp arena is almost always empty in a pvp game, but I quess many people do not even know that they can pvp before lvl 45 if they want to. The ''PVP arena'' or zone is outside Heidel.

Yeah, there are pvp arena's in each city. The most popular two are Calpheon and Velia. As for people being there it is pretty much up in the air since it's not labeled or anything.
Black Desert was never really praised for its PvE since it is pretty limited, but more for the world that they created with tons of things to do in it. As for teamplay, it really depends on what you consider to be teamplay, but there are classes that are better at handling other classes (like trying to call out a wizard before they get their nukes off or ccing them down, about as much team play PvP MMO's can have in the first place)

Comparing to EVE - you do not lose all your gear upon death, no tiered security areas, no NPC retaliation force, no PVP flag, etc.
