With technology advancing as it has, I would say its about time Browser Based MMOs take a look at, for advancing.
I took a break from the big AAA mmos to play a browser based isometric MMO, and I never expected to have this much fun. This sparked my interest in seeing how much can be improved on this subgenre with this advancement in tech.
The major appeal of Browser Based MMOs are the lack of Download, and the ability to play from any computer without a large download beforehand.
But whats some ways this can be improved without taking away from that?
most of the time, I must admit, many of these are cheap quality isometric, click to move, town upgrading games. yes. Runescape is king with 3D gameplay and some good quality. There was a fully 3D Steampunk MMO for browsers as well but forgot the name.
But I seen a isometric browser game that had the ability to character jump. That was pretty cool actually. But whats some ideas you all have? I know this subgenre doesnt appeal to everybody, but still never hurts to improve.

Cause if it bad then no way it can make money (cause the logic of people here , money = winner)
talk about ideas
I have some ideas about 2D top view space ship MMORPG with dress-up avatar for browser game.
Still have to chose between tab target , shooting or hit on click .
The game mainly about collect the ships and and dress-up items for avatar .
Some of my friend even suggest to make a 18+ game like Japan H game but i refuse the idea lol.
All those things still on concept papers though .
Is it a thing of the future? Well, it is a thing of the past, so you aren't really on the bleeding edge as you might think you are. Will there be more in the future, certainly. Will it replace desktop mmoRPGs? Not in my lifetime.

A good suggestion for newer type of game, would be incorporating newer or older; Entire Books into the treasure chests and so whichever type of age range can get the books they deserve.
PROS: it's fun to have perks like online rewards and things you can claim as you reach certain levels. I like the new different abilities they add to the games, like lottery stats and such, new ideas are being implemented.
CONS: the games have links to click for quests that auto-route to your destination, which makes it feel as though the game is basically playing itself...the role playing part seems lacking because of this feature as well as when you equip items sometimes your character's look doesn't change with gear a lot, usually only with a weapon or wings, boring. Another con for me is I can reach level 50 or higher in a couple of hours, when most other MMORPGs it takes days to weeks to months to reach these levels and it is more in depth and more fun.
As for technology going forward, in about 10 years people will no longer download games to play, they will buy the game and just link their datapad with game site through and start playing on a virtual monitor that is generated by the datapad. in 20 years we will be completely into VR and it will again negate the download of games, people will buy game, link their VR set to game and start playing. That is my hope at least.
