DAOC,still the best IMO ! Only mmo with pvp that I continually go back to!
Im curious if i was to start playing this game to try to get into some pvp what server would i want to join? Live or private and is it worth still trying?
+1 on this. Im very interested in returning to DAOC since Im in between games but would love to hear about its currently population and if there are still official servers live, and if there are should I play on those or on a private server?

Private server based on 2003 ruleset about to relaunch after 2 yr hiatus. Open beta to start in about a month.
If you want to play as it was right after SI launch with the original frontiers this will be the place.
They dont permit multiple accounts, buff bots or radar and freely drop the banhammer.
Just trying to live long enough to play a new, released MMORPG, playing New Worlds atm

Would that be uthgarde or whatever and is it noob friendly? I never played daoc but would like to give it a shot since I've always been a pvper and irritated i missed that one.

Ive recently tried Black Desert and why i do enjoy the game allot the pvp kind of sucks with all the penalties and stuff.
Was also thinking of trying Return of Reckoning or maybe even Lineage 2 if anyone can chime in on if either of those are good options at this point id appreciate it.
Well the battle grounds are shared while leveling up. You can level up to 50 in just a couple of weeks. I personally like to hang around level 49 for the 45-49 battleground. Really really fun!. Realm vs Realm is also very fun. Big BOY battles! Your pvp abilities and talents are just as important as your pve ones in DAOC.
The only way to get those abilities is to pvp :-D The population is pretty good. As far as servers. If you are there for the pvp and not housing. The closer you get to the 1 server the better. I do recommend joining a guild as soon as you are able. They can help you considerably. Because of the many classes, you will need help with making you that "Ultimate" death, CC, or healing machine that you surely desire

@Sicc1 : If all you want to do is PvP, I'd recommend RoR over L2. In L2 you'll be grinding mobs most of the time.
