Exidium Corp Why is no-one playing? or have I answered my own question?

So I see this site is giving away FREE Alpha Keys for Exidium Corp (The Last Frontier) so I grab one & go check the game out. The Website for the game is below:
http://www.exidiumcorp.com/
or
The Beta Site:
http://exidiumcorp.com:8080/membre.php?Page=Default

So why are people not trying this game? Personally I have tried it & have found it lacking in so many areas but that's just me I thought so I am asking everyone why they haven't bothered with even trying the game?

For me personally it had 1 good thing about it, the size of the install download. Was a little under 1Gb in size & was easy enough to install.

A few of the draw backs are as follows & yes I know it is still in Closed beta Testing:
No New Player protection
Lack of content across the board
Too Much Grinding
Lack of How to Play info
Terribad tutorial
Many higher level players that farm New/lower Level players
Lack of players (Seams like 30-40 is it)

So why is no-one even bothering with it?

My time is valuable, free trials of half baked games is of no interest to me.

I think he's desperately looking for people to agree with him.

My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion.

I can't tell if this is a shitpost or if this is subtle reverse psychology? Like do you want people to agree the game sucks, or do you want people to go try it. I'm super confused about this.

It's an alpha product. Keys are available on the front page of this site.

Right now it's a pretty browser base-building game. You 'mine for credits and eternum, for something like that. You build up your base so you can make more efficient base units and your combat vehicles.

You're a hover car not a person. your car has a direct fire weapon and a mortar. Their range is shorter than base defense units.

There are starter areas where you build your first base that are immune to attacks. Supposedly you can have a base in those areas for only 4 hours real time. Although once you build a maintenance bot you you can stay there indefinitely.

PVP is level based. Attack anyone with a garage level 4 lower than your garage level and you lose 'combat points'. Three levels lower and you don't gain points. Garage levels two lower and up past your garage level are free to attack and you gain combat points.

Most PVP seems to be based on attacking bases when the owner is off line.

The majority of the land area except the decent sized starter area is irradiated. You won't be able to enter the irradiated area until your garage is level 10 or higher. You can build your base in the irradiated zones.

TLDR? Read the first three paragraphs. plus PVP

I like the metallic graphical style of your bases/drones and the website which keeps track of your stats - that's about it all has going for it though. I have absolutely no idea what I am supposed to be doing? There is a tutorial of sorts but it doesn't really help. There are people in chat, but I've yet to see other players - there doesn't seem to be much happening? Don't know how it's supposed to play out in the later stages. I'm sure someone will tell us...

The game isn't actually that Bad.

I guess my first post was a mix of a Plug & a Whinge & yes it was confusing.

I would suggest people who like Indy Genre games give it a try, you have to remember though that it is still in development & that a lot of things still need to be added to the game. There are also a lot of others that need to be fixed & that is what Alpha/Closed Beta testing is all about right?

Basically your Garage is your Home. you build this inside a Town Hall area on the Map & you then set up Defenses & Harvesters that will harvest  Exidium, Credits & at Higher Garage Levels Neutrino. these Resources are then used to build & upgrade everything in your base including your vehicle (Thats your main in-game character) The Premium In-game currency is called TOKENS & although it can be brought with a Credit card or whatever it is able to be easily collected in-game when out Hunting NPC MOBS etc. (Granted it only drops in small amounts 2 here, 10 there)

Your vehicle is able to be upgraded some what & as you go up in player level you are able to Buy BIGGER & BETTER Vehicles which are able to do much better things.

In-game there is PVP & ATM it is basically open for anyone to attack anyone else they want. There are a number of penalties if you attack someone that is too many levels lower & I am sure with time there will be others but ATM the Higher leveled players don't go out to attack Newer players unless they attack first.

The developers say they want to make the game so players who want to PVP can do so while those who don't want to will be able to play their style also. (The PVE players)  Also every day since I started playing at least 1 of the developers logs in to the game & stays to chat with the players about issues, changes etc.

I like the fact I am able to do a lot of things without having to Login to the actual game with the client. I can instead use a Web Browser to do things like Delete Buildings, Upgrade EVERYTHING, Chat with players who are in-game, Buy resources & Boosters. I am sure as they develop the game more functions will be added. (Check it out below)

    http://exidiumcorp.com:8080/membre.php?Page=Account

In-game using the Client looks nice enough, some things are a little rough still & there is a lot of open space but in general the graphics are decent enough & I am sure like everything else with development they will get better also. (ATM the client is only 900Mb in size so its not a huge download)

So I hope this has sort of straightened a few things out & if not then I hope it has made you even more confused! :p B)
Below is a link to a Youtube video of what it looks like in-game, just in case anyone is interested. (The video quality isn't very good but you can see. Its not my video its just one I looked up to use)
