    it is my personal opinion that this is out of proportion to the number of hanger ships they have.
    Hopefully though they will continue to focus mostly on these items. At this time I am still watching, not enough for me to do yet.

    It is my opinion that for testing game mechanics you do not need a lot of ships. In fact it adds a lot of extra unnecessary complexity. Although i understand that backers want to fly their specific pledge ship(s) ASAP, i think it is more important to concentrate on the ships that are needed for Squadron 42 (because those are needed sooner) and use those to test the game mechanic elements. So all necessary game mechanic elements are included in SC Alpha as quickly as possible. THEN you can always add more finished, flyable ships later.
