New Mouse

So I've been using my Death Adder (Not Chrome) for over 8+ years now without any problems but since the beginning of the year, the side buttons (Back/Forward) specifically the front one, sometimes is clicking twice or more.

I don't know if it can be fixed but if it can't I'm considering a new gaming mouse. Now I took a look at getting another Death Adder but then I said, why not make a thread and see what is the overall opinion? Maybe there's something more worth it.

With that said, I'd like to point out some things that should be taken into consideration:

1 - If possible, I'd like to get a new mouse with approximately same shape as the Death Adder. I bought some mouse from amazon for 10 euro which had the option of going same DPI as the Death Adder but it's so flat! My hand doesn't feel comfortable holding it for long.
2 - If possible, I'd like the side buttons to not be tiny. That's one thing I really like about the Death Adder. Their side buttons are big so they are less annoying to press.
3 - Not that overly flashy or clicky sounds.
4 - As I used a Death Adder for so long, I'm quite accustomed to the 3500 dpi. I don't want one with lower dpi as it feels slow.
5 - Last but not least, I'd prefer if the price wasn't that high so let's say around 50 euro + -.

I've been looking quite a lot on amazon and such but there are so many mouse that look like some transformers or have overly flashy lights that I'm not sure which one to pick.

I don't have advice but watching this with interest since I also need a new mouse. I have about the same demands, a mouse big and curved enough for claw grip because the flat ones give me muscle cramps, and also the thumb buttons I use very much so they need to be a clickable size and placement.
It is impossible to see from pictures if a mouse fits your hand and buttons are reachable, and stores with a range of brands and selections where you can try&buy are rare or nonexistant.. So what to do?

I had a Roccat Kone (scrollwheel broke), it was excellent with claw grip but only two reachable thumb buttons.
I have a Logitech G500 now which is not bad but too small and flat (makes my hand hurt), and again only really two thumb buttons are reachable.

You can't go wrong with either of those, as long as you like using mice with lots of buttons. I used a Naga for years and recently switched to the G600. Both excellent mice and have become essential to pc gaming for me.

I personally never tried those mice with all those buttons on the sides but I don't think I'd want that many buttons lol.

A similar mouse I saw on amazon had a ring shaped style to the buttons instead of 12 small buttons.

    Just for reference:

    Or

Another mice I saw while browsing amazon are these:

    http://www.amazon.de/Lioncast-LM30-Gaming-Mouse-Black/dp/B00MQZE1RK/ref=sr_1_45?ie=UTF8&qid=1460796919&sr=8-45&keywords=gaming+mouse

This one has the same layout as the naga and has a discount atm.

    http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B016A9XAXS/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i3?pf_rd_m=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&pf_rd_s=desktop-2&pf_rd_r=0NHCW8ZD8J8NABCHMR1C&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=862816767&pf_rd_i=desktop

And this one if you want a mouse with just 2 side buttons not something overcomplicated.

I had my eye on a razer hex something.. The one with 6 thumb buttons in a circle. Might be the amount of buttons that are manageable, but I have to try one before I know that it is claw grip (not flat) and that my thumb can click most of those with ease.

I am also a bit of a Roccat fan after using the Kone, but they are pretty expensive, there is nowhere i can try one, and most only have 2-3 thumb buttons.

The Roccat Nyth looks interesting (and expensive) http://www.roccat.org/da-DK/Products/Gaming-Mice/Nyth/
Does anyone have any experience with that ?

There is a fix for this, sort of. The push buttons are susceptible to dirt from your sweat and skin (natural, not saying people are dirty, but to electronics they are).

Remove casing and with a q-tip apply a small amount of wd-40 or type-2 electronics lubricant (Don't use type-1, leaves a residue that hardens and will damage) to the push button. If you feel this won't cut it, apply some 91% isopropyl  first generously and then allow to hang and dry for about 30 minutes. after dried apply lubricant.

Doesn't hurt to do this with all push buttons in the device. In fact if you aren't keen on warranties and such and prefer to take care of your own electronics this method is something to consider doing every 90 days to 180 days. Will improve the longevity of the devices. Type-2 is relatively difficult to find, but is the better electronics lube/cleaner.

Ingredients listed in the linked page, not even sure if radioshack even exists anymore.

A decent alternative for a good price, higher dpi, and more functions.

Which type of games is your primary focus (MMORPGs / FPS)? I would recommend different mice for different type of games.

I recently bought a mouse specifically for CSGO and am very happy with it (Steelseries Rival, also called CSGO mouse :) )

    https://steelseries.com/gaming-mice/rival-300

Nevertheless, if you are looking for a mouse for MMOs like WoW or other where you need to bind many actions on your mouse, I would not recommend this one as it is rather simple with not that many buttons.
I'm mostly an mmo gamer tough I like adding some of the hotkeys in a game on the side buttons and scroll button specially for potions.

Also I'll try that somethingunusal maybe I might save the mouse :pleased:  Also that G600 was really tempting me I'll keep on checking the list.

    Hey,

I see you mention the Death Adder a a lot.  I used the G10 and G15 for years until the Death Adder which is my all time favourite mouse for all-round PC gaming.

I got the Razer NAGA last year with the 12 side buttons because I had been playing a lot of MMOs at the time - and just over a year later I am still not comfortable with it.

Stick with the Death Adder man, is my suggestion - I have almost bought myself a new one a few times now.  Also the Steel Series has a similar model to the Death Adder, though I have not tried one personally.

You are not getting something of equal quality for 50 Euro, for that you get something lasting 2 years of gaming tops. Anyways, I think you need to visit a store to try out the different ones, findingt a mouse online that fits your hand just right is almost impossible.

I also use nothing but a deathadder. Have you tried to clean your mouse? use some denatured alcohol and see if that helps.

Well the death adder costs around that price that's why I added the plus and minus signs afterwards just to see the options given by people.
