There are several good MMO's out right now, with good sytems, good ip, good progression, but none seem to fill that niche or scratch that itch that I am craving. I am looking for a game that fills that need like a warm cup of coffee on a cold morning; to be precise, a veinte 7 pump vanilla latte, no foam, no room kinda coffee; or reading a new novel by a toasty fire, that takes you away to a land of adventure, excitement and familiarity.
I enjoy the adventure, combat and challenges in many games, but as they progress the lands get bleaker, the armor shinier, the difficulty ever increasing to the point it becomes stressful to play.
So I am sharing my thoughts about a game where I could hang my hat and stay awhile. I would combine systems that already exist in good games to craft my ultimate game that each night after a busy day I could wind down, adventure and socialize than comfortably log off with eager anticipation to the next time.
I would combine the art style and dynamic zone adjustment (brilliant) of GW2 so each zone is replayable and will always have meaning, the familiar towns will always be worth stopping back by. The combat of ESO, with a few more options on the bar. The building, crafting, trading and housing of Archeage/Black Desert. The race, class options of EQ2. The skill tree of Rift, all combined in a traditional fantasy setting of WOW or LOTRO. And as you explore the world you don't have to delve deeper into blacker, deader zones though they exist, you actually discover enemies that are more subtle, you stumble upon green valleys, cozy little towns with pubs that you can stroll into and ask the barkeep for a foamy ale while a pesky halfing at a corner table keeps yelling for "Breggun" (EQ2 reference). You could dust off your cloak, clear out your satchel, admire that new sword, and listen the the bard sing a familiar tune.
