Gahhhhh, I am so stupidly excited.

Since I am a wanter of Kunoichi, I have been leveling all of the other classes to 50 prior to their release.

    Cannot wait D:

PS - All mammals have nipples.

    Get over it already.

I've been taking a break-waiting for the new classes! Game is fun, freaking beautiful looking and devs seem cool besides having a pretty expensive cash shop. I'm excited for future expansion, they sound massive!

I really wish people would stop trying to make this game like every other freaking themepark MMO. You have a gazillion themeparks to choose from, go play them and leave BDO alone. Some of us wanted something different from the same old MMO crap that has been put out for years. If you don't like BDO, don't play BDO. Simple.

Yeah kinda had the same feeling reading the interview. Well, not much of an interview, but rather a plain & simple Q&A. Looking at the way answers have been formulated I even think Bill sent in his Q list and got a couple of As back...

There are 2 ways to stop gold trader : 1> shut down the game, no game no gold trader(blocking player trading and calling it mmorpg? you fucking kidding me?) . 2> Employ specific GM to monitor trading, it is a very effective way to catch gold selling.

I agree, BDO in fact did something different that no other mmorpg dared to do and then call themselves mmorpg : they blocked player to player trading for almost all proper item and only allow to trade shit. They have effectively stopped family/close knit guild oriented players from playing the game that like to plan each and play by dividing activities.

I can't remember the last time I did a player-player trade with anyone in an MMO. If this one feature is stopping you from enjoying the game you have more issues to worry about than BDO. I understand you are not in agreement with this, but I don't need you to patronize me. I was specifically talking about people crying that there are not dungeon instances in end-game to run over and over and over like every other freaking MMO. My point was BDO is different from other MMOs in MANY ways and good ways, not just your trading gripe. People are trying to make it more and more like a standard cliche MMO. That is MY gripe, and it has nothing to do with trading.

To be fair, most modern mmo's don't really promote any reasons to trade with another player.

In Lineage 2 I would get and give mats to crafters so they could make things. Heck my guild gathered mats so I could get an S grade Staff.

It's this type of stuff that people miss. Also trading for items and negotiating prices.

I think that you are assuming what others want.

I don't want instanced dungeons, heck I think instanced PVP they added was a mistake.

But having a huge open world dungeons that's sprawling under most of the continent with multiple entrances and exits, yes I want that.

"Any plans to introduce more "traditional" MMO dungeons, or group activities for PVE fans?"

I assume nothing. There is a reason the question was asked. This is not about you, just because you read my post does not mean I was talking about you. I don't pretend to know what each person wants. I have seen plenty of crying about this subject all over the internet.

I too would not mind open world dungeons, but that is not what "traditional" means.

I really like the philosophy behind this game and the design decisions. Hopefully the implementation is as good or close to it.

No questions regarding moving the PvP level from 45 to 49.999 like KR or changing the flag quest to match? Next time ask about potential of PvE servers or channels please, that would be super :D Anyways, it all sounds good - great game but too much to do! lol..

Auctions that are exclusive to your guild should be added that would allow you to set the price about 20% below the normal market.

Nice interview, it is exciting news.

They have been handed several different player thought out options on trade and still refuse to give us what is needed in the player trade issue. I have to call BS on this one!

A player only needs trading for 3 things:
    1. Alts
    2. Friends
    3. Trade mats to unknown people hoping they don't run away and craft what you need

For alts due to the free shared storage is not needed.

For friends, you get a limited supply of trading certificate, that you can use to give a friend a nice boost, like a lvl 15-20 weapon to start.

The third one, due to how crafting works, at least here is no point in giving mats to someone and wait 30 mins to an hour for the item to get crafted. And for selling there is the marketplace.

    So no, is not needed.
This kind of bullshit non mmo behavior is why they can get away with this nonsense. Shameful

    Agree

And now we get this somehow "playing while afk" feature.
MMO - Massive Multiplayer Online - not this MMAFK rubbish.
I don't have anything against pvp in the end game - as a part of the end game - but not this excuse for a lack of content creativity.
Get an mmo with pve (with optional pvp) servers v open world pvp servers - then look at the popularity - in the West.
But not the East. So what we get has not been truly developed for this market, it's just another cross zone dump to milk more money out of a game that's not done that well in it's original market.

These games that come along with what they say is a new type of content, in actuality translate to a game with limited content.
If players are calling afk fishing as the new type of content then I just don't know what to say about the genre.

Nothing meaningful was said in this discussion, because all the questions appeared pre-scripted to avoid highlighting the lack of content options at end game.
Woe betide asking if some quality pve content was going to be added, or make pvp optional. I imagine those questions got the red line in the pre-discussion briefing.

Cut through all this smoke and mirrors (both items soon to be available in the cash shop), and see these eastern import games for what they are: Gimmicky low content money grabs, with a lack of end game content marketed as the next new thing.

    Solo players dont trade.

I trade stuff with my guild all the time - like feeding crafting mats to our crafters... been doing this since EQ1 vanilla

I really don't get this game.

Players complaining no dungeons, don't make it like other mmo's, we don't want to run dungeon's over and over.

Yet you grind mobs over and over to level up.

    I just don't get it.

Yeah their answer was good but it makes no sense. If you want to avoid repetitive endgame pve, you probably shouldn't have the most repetitive endgame pve possible in your game (grinding mobs).

Overall OK questions and good answers, although like I said some of them didn't make sense, but they sounded good (not being able to think of animations for a male ranger was pretty funny).

Craftable costumes perks my interest a bit. The main thing holding me back from buying the game is the lack of pets/costumes available in game, since I feel those should be basic features in any MMO, even a f2p one (pets because they are essentially an auto-loot function any grinding MMO would have included).

They're giving away a free pet currently in an event. If they make at least one available later alongside a decent amount of craftable costumes, I'll probably buy the game (assuming they haven't gone even more ham with the cash shop by then).

I normally try almost every big MMO that comes out. This is the first one I've passed on because of the cash shop. Still itching to play it but I can't support it in it's current state.
