Trying to get back into the swing of things

OK, I got the expansions. I logged on with my old character CL37 BH. I sorta figured out my character again. I did a few BH missions, set up my house again, got my ship, and travelled to Kashyyk. But, I really had no direction as far as what I was doing.

I feel like I'm missing something. I cant help but think I would be better off starting a new toon, rather than trying to pick up where I left off(wherever that is).

So my question is this: In general, should someone who is returning after a really long hiatus be better off started a new toon? Or should they try to fit back in with their old toon?

In my opinion, yes, it would be better to start a new toon.  I left for two months and can't really get into the groove I once was in with my previously main character.  I made a new character on Naritus and I'm having the time of my life with him though.  I feel disconnected from my old characters but not the new one.

Not one bit sorry it feels so much fresher then last time i tried a comeback.

Here is what I did, for what it is worth.  I made a new toon so I could relearn the UI system and such again.  Did a few quests, visited a few forums, knocked out a few missions, did a couple flight missions, made some serious mistakes, and relearned like I had never played.  All in all this took me about 3-4 days playing a couple hours a day.  I then logged onto my old main, collected all my veteran rewards, respecced him, and was off to having fun just like I knew what I was doing.  That was immediately after CU got underway and I have been having a blast since.  BTW, I respecced from Master commando (with some TKA) to MBH / MCM and am truely having the best time I have had in a MMORPG since DAOC RvR (pre-Shadowlands).
