Good profession for me... Ele/Monk?

I am soon to buy GW and need some help with what profession I will choose. I like magic attack so I will surely have elementalist somewhere in my char. I am wondering if anyone has played Ele/Monk or something like that and in he or she likes it. If this is a bad choice, could you please list a better combination and why you like it. Thanks

what i found that works quite good is ele/necro. if you use air elemental magic and curses, you're an extremely good support character. if you want to be a high damage dealer, go with warrior/fire elementalist.
