Filmmaker Derek Westerman and a team of producers set up a living room in a Los Angeles apartment to see if he could spend and entire day wearing the HTC Vive and using its controllers to manipulate virtual space.
Wearing a suit and tie, he then set about exploring virtual environments rather than sitting down to play one or two traditional, role playing games for an extended period of time. 1. these modern day VR devices have been found to cure some specific types of vision problems. One of which I had to have surgery for when I was a child and I would not have had if VR existed then.
2. There is less UV rays hitting your eyes (obviously) so that is better for your eyes then going outside anyway. kinda lame point I know but worth mentioning.
3. Most of us have spent decades and thousands of hours behind the exact same base technology just 1 foot away instead of 1 inch away.

and by the way I have/had amblyopia however with surgery and glasses by 'lazy eye' is actually now stronger than my normal eye. With that said, I can do VR headsets without glasses which blew me away. It feels strange not wearing glasses and being able to see as well but yeah...been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old

Oculus headset weighs the same as a standard Hardhat. Vive is slightly more. Hololense has been labeled as the most uncomfortable of them all despite weighing less.
so its hard to tell
