Way way better then Overwatch or Paladins (Paladins is broken clunky and pretty lame)

Blizzard strategically placed their beta during the battleborn launch, it wasn't schedule until the battleborn release date was announced.
I like them both. They are both very well done for what they are. They are also 2 different games. I actually found myself enjoying Batlleborn a bit more, there's a lot more content.
Either way, they both are limited shooters and won't hold any longevity for me.
Nothing nearly as bad as PWI or Hi-Rez with there high priced hero's and that funny thing they do where they abandon their last game for their new title and never complete or balance any of them (Tribes into Smite and now Paladins) (which is so broken its not even funny)
Theres gonna be more and more FPS games without story mode if you ask me... most of there money is in multiplayer and they seem to be focusing on that
There really isn't anything unique about it compared to competitors, the others have a little something about them that sets them apart, but OW doesn't really have anything imho. The levels, characters, design is all amazing, but nothing is really expanded upon in-game. They need to play with the hero vs villain thing more, it needs modes that are memorable, right now it's just traveling all over the world for no real reason doing king of the hill . Why am i traveling to Nepal or Numbai? Why am I holding these points? Why am I fighting other heroes?
The game has a lot of potential, add a PvE mode or story mode or like I said, some Hero vs Villain type of gameplay, then I would happily drop money on it
FYI Blizzard intentionally timed an Overwatch beta right on top of Battleborn's previously annouced launch. Even Battleborn's hero roster was known by Blizzard devs when they developed Overwatch. At the time Battleborn was announced Blizzard was just about to scrap project Titan and then they decided to develop a shooter using Titan's assets.
Blizzard NEVER discounts any of their games. You can wait until your hair turns gray it will still be 40$
What you prefer ?
F2P game with 20 heroes, where 2 (worst) are free and other 18 cost 20$ each, not to mention that every skin costs another 20$-100$. And matches are full of either 10 year old kids that do random shit in match because they just downloaded the game for LULZ or Pay to Win elitist that smear you with their OP payed for characters.
or
B2P game where all 20+ heroes are free, everyone is on equal ground both with heroes and skins , and you know that everyone playing is someone who invested 40$ and cares about game
They discount their games all the time. Winter sales, summer sales, hell Diablo 3 goes 50% and 20% different times of the year.
CoD the king rep of fps games with "immature teenage kiddies"... been selling year after year. This isnt the mmorpg F2P market your stepping into lol... wouldn't associate one stereotype from one genre to another. The colourful art style of Overwatch is more likely to attract parents to buy it more for their kids than a game like CoD which they been doing for years.
And keep cheaters away? Only have to look over the last couple months to know that is another fault stereotype... i.e The Division and Black Desert.
$40 price tag isn't going to keep you safe from any of those two things.
Personally i played both overwatch and battleborn quite a bit. And i'm definitely leaning towards overwatch. Battleborn is for sure more casual, chill experience, but that's about it for me. Playing overwatch just made me want to make a team and climb up the ladder, just like playing CS:GO. And that's what i'm personally enjoying about it.

I'm actually willing to pay quite a bit for an online game that guarantees free updates and free heroes for all eternity.
(You spend nearly $20 1 person to a movie thats without snakes and thats a hour of entertainment, $40 for a game ill always have = worth it)
Steam: Neph
I remember they came out with Diablo 3 expansion: Reaper of souls in 2014
It was whopping 40$ ! I dont think ever have any game company asked this high price for expansion.
I said : "They are probably trying to capitalize on early adopters and will reduce price to normal 20$ that is acceptable for expansions, pretty soon"
I waited around 1 and half year before they discounted it first time. Now 2 and half year after they permanently discounted it.
So let see. We are talking about expansion here. You dont need to have it to play the game.
Overwatch however is the first new IP they released since WoW 2004 , so they will probably be willing to even keep it away from discounting longer, even if it turns out to be total failure. Just to keep the appearance of unfailable Blizzard reputation. ( Its not like they are hurting for money )
So we are looking 2 years minimum wait here.
So if you decide to wait for discount you will be waiting 2 years. By than everyone will be fed up and bored and play some new VR wonder game. And you cheap Joe will be brandishing your brand new copy of Overwatch... :chuffed:
So yea ... good luck
I will also be playing Paragon and Lawbreakers. Nothing says I have to be monogamous with my gaming time. I'm a player's player.
Dirty Bomb and Palandins look like utter crap, so I'll be skipping those.
Battleborn may have Gearbox's humor, which I appreciate, but holy mother of crap did they make an ugly game with a hideous, unattractive cast of weirdo characters. Not only that, but playing the game feels like stepping into a psychedelic effects machine. You can hardly see what's going on for all of the ability effects and floating numbers.
