Role Playing

I have heard a lot of ppl saying that GW doesnt have Role Play. What exactly is RolePlay?

GW is mission driven, with many side quests available if u wanna do them. Role Playing means living in the virtual world and participating in the game's story and history.  The exact opposite of Power Leveling and Grinding and Farming, which could exist totally out of context (There is a grey area, though, afterall, building up and resource gathering is also one of the aspect of life).  And to this end I have to say GW has done a good job to absorb a player into its story.  It has been a long time since I had the feeling that I was sucked in by a game's story and have to stop myself from living totally in the virtual world... I have to congratulate on the designer's genius.  The story is simple enough, yet you have the feeling that you are a part of the story.  Quests and missions give you a purpose, and you know there is still that unknown plot that is going to happen.  It will all come to an end eventually, as you maxed out your level and have done all the quests and see to then end of the story, but the fact that you have been drawn into the story, then the game is successful.

I was completly surprised by alot of the ways guildwars did things, which improve the experience you have. I found myself playing the game not to get to the next level but to see what happened next in the story. I can't wait for the next chapter (expansion) so i can see more of the story.
