Funny thing. For those of us who are afflicted with really bad eyesight. You can use the camera/video on your phone to get around if you ever lose your glasses. Kinda sorta like how Cardboard works, only without the cardboard.
That seems to work somewhat well. I've wondered why headsets would require you to continue to wear your prescription when they are so close to your face, and it seems like you could do some sort of "prescription correction" in the software. I don't know if that's really possible or not, I've never looked inside of one of the high end headsets to see how they are constructed, but given that I can use my phone to get around when my dog decides to hide my glasses (and I am truly blind as a bat without them), it makes me wonder how a product like Cardboard, or especially a high end product, can't emulate the same effect.
