keep in mind HTC has the numbers of units they are selling and their prediction is short term so margin for error is not super high here.

$2.3B revenue in 2016

9.6 million units predicted, granted 300,000 in europe already is a mixture of 'sold' and given away but regardless 10 million is 1/2 of all xbox ones

Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

    Misleading and pointless article.

By 2025 they are accounting for both AR and VR, despite AR expected to overtake VR sales nearly 3 to 1 by 2019 according to several current reports and there isn't even a consumer AR system on the market.

VR in general was poised to sell in the millions primarily due to Sony, not the Rift or the Vive, and if Rift or Vive thinks they'll somehow benefit from Sonys market share they are sadly mistaken.VR growth is wholly dependent on content.  Currently Mobile devices are the best VR devices -- best being most accessible, most widely used, least costly, and able to utilize the majority of the content.

VR as a gaming push will not be nearly as prevalent as companies believe... just like 3D tvs.

3D TVs to hit 22B in revenue by 2018.....  how are we doing on that front?
