    I agree. It also surprised me that a VIta game was number 2 and beat out Overwatch by double the units sold.
    Vita is doing better in Japan, too bad its legacy in the west. I'll keep buying the vita version of anything i see available multi platform. I love my vita. Will get a new 3ds soon too as i havent bought a Nintendo console since the original GBA was out.

    As for PC, they keep porting a lot of Japanese games to steam so they arent really anti PC, just not as popular as the consoles they make themselves.

    It had too much competition, and probably too much animoo. Looks more like both the PC and the various Consoles actually struggle to compete with handheld devices there, might even be the only place on the planet where handhelds are popular with the over 12's though as someone whose younger family members are demanding either an Ipad or a Console, usually both, i am not sure gaming devices like the 3ds etc. are all that popular here in the UK even with the younger generation, and with the older generation, the preferred 'handheld' devices are probably either iphones or some other android equivalent.

    Vita failed in west because gaming on the go is comfortable enough for most people on smartphones.

    Japan looks like another planet when it comes to gaming taste and gaming habits.

    The seem to be stuck in the 90s.

    You say that as if being stuck to the 90s is a bad thing, you pique my interest, what is it you consider to be so much better than EQ as an MMO, Half Life as a shooter, Mario as a platformer, Diablo as an ARPG or Final Fantasy as an RPG , etc. on a "whole" as to be superior "across the board" these days, please enlighten me oh wise one.
