If they just updated the engine, on PC it'd probably be better to stick with the modded original version. The unofficial patch for instance fixes quite literally tens of thousands of bugs in the game (varying from major broken stuff to misplaced objects and typos) and has taken years of work.

I never liked using the unofficial patches TBH, too many potential conflicts. As well as potential issues with official patches.

The unofficial patch doesn't conflict with the official patches - it in fact requires them as the base. Every single change they've made is documented.

I was talking about ongoing possible conflicts, in regard to new patches. Anything messing with the core can have the potential to cause such issues. I'm fully aware of what they entail.

If done properly, this could be pretty cool.

I haven't been able to play Skyrim modded in a stable fashion, so I'd love a more rounded experience built by the people behind the game.

There won't be any more patches for Skyrim, they stopped releasing them years ago. The unofficial patch always updated itself alongside official patches though.

As for a possible HD release, that's why I said it might be better to stick to the old one, as the unofficial patch will certainly not be compatible, and if they just update the engine, it'll leave tons of extremely big bugs in the game unfixed.

Rumor has it a reworked or rebooted Prey will be shown as well. Though people are saying it will not be called Prey or Prey 2
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa hold on. They are actually doing something with Prey? I liked prey so much, but when they cancelled Prey 2 I was super bummed, that's great news if they are picking up the series again.

AFAIK, Prey 2 was supposed to be a spiritual successor to System Shock until it was cancelled.

If true, and if that's the same vision they have for it still - then I'd be ecstatic.

If it's just another Prey (story-driven mindless shooter) - then I'll take a pass.

With Human Head out of the picture and Arkane at the reigns it should be a pretty big boost in talent developer wise.
I can't quite get a handle on who did what on Prey 2. Seems quite the messy development history.

Will be amazing to have a flawless Graphic enchanted version . Dose this mean they made some contract with ENB creator or they will use something different?
If so this mean we will have a more productive and more stable client ?
The only thing I don't like about Bethesda their animations sucks ....

Would love it if they added some type of co-op mode.

2-4 player coop would be absolutely delightful.

Yeah it was. Human Head was pretty well on in development (2 years) when Bethesda pulled the plug stating the game was not up to their quality standards. Human Head is quoted as saying it was of great quality.
The team then left Bethesda and some went on to help with design on Bioshock Infinite, others to the MMO Defiance, some to mobile games.

Dishonored's Arkane Studios came into the picture in 2013 and is supposed to be revealed at E3.
    I hope so.
    Interesting.

That said, Human Head was founded by some ex-Raven Software guys, so they can't have been all bad.

However, the very best Raven Software games I've played were the first ones - Black Crypt and ShadowCaster.

Since then, they've basically developed one shooter after the other, but they're still pretty good :)

As for Arkane, I liked both Arx and Dishonored - but I tend to think both games are somewhat overrated. They also did Dark Messiah, right? That was pretty good in a quirky way.

Skyrim remastered. I can see that.

Last years talk of a new ES title this year has shifted to "not going to happen, they are to busy fixing / expanding Fallout".

XB1 / PS4 makes sense. It has been some years now since Skyrim came out so there will be people who "haven't heard of it" plus it will "stoke the brand" preparing the way for a new ES title.

They could also make the registration page the same as the ESO registration page. They could - if they really wanted to - bundle Skyrim with ESO. (And potentially gain some downstream DLC sales as well).

Yeah Human Head really were/are talented they just did not seem to mesh well with Bethesda. Rune was awesome.

Arkane is a pretty talented group that really seem to gel well with what Bethesda wants to do and produce. They even worked with Valve to release Return to Ravenholm but it was never released.
They helped develop Bioshock 2 and the multiplayer maps on a COD game.
I really liked Dishonored and after talking to a few people about the second one coming out this year I am excited they have a larger budget and can do more with the gameplay.
Level design is a specialty of theirs.
I hated the art style of Dishonored - and felt it was too simple and safe in terms of mechanics and powers.

But it was a quality game, no doubt.

But I think DE:HR was much, much better - personally. I also expect the upcoming Mankind Divided to be even better.

I'll check out Dishonored 2 for sure, though.

Is there any rumour about a new Elder Scrolls game? I mean Skyrim is great and everything, but it is 5 years old now.
Why would you need a rumor for that?

    Check this pattern out:

    Arena -> Daggerfall -> Morrowind -> Oblivion -> Skyrim

Each more successful than the last.

Do you seriously think we need a confirmation of TES 6?

According to rumours, TES VI is already in pre-production.

According to other rumours, these rumours are true.
