Guess we are stuck with these asian MMO's, but I have yet to play one that has any kind of end game.

Just do not understand why people waste their time with them.  Look at the recent hyped games ArchAge  and Black Desert, just very poorly written games that have distinct visual appeal.   Just a couple, in a long line of poorly written MMO's.

I suppose someone in the east will finally get it and write a decent one, but I certainly will not hold my breath for that happening.

You are not stuck with asian mmos.

There are more western mmos available than eastern mmos. Why are you not playing them?

    Also,

Both ArcheAge and Black Desert are doing just fine with out you.  B)

Guys when I check the site, it says the classes and one healer/summoner (SpiritShaper) cant find any youtube vids. Whats the kr name for it to look for some gameplay?

It is not Korean but Chinese - and Ling Long is the least popular class of a not really popular MMORPG on youtube so you wouldn't find much (at least for now).

This one shows this class at around level 20 (which one should typically reach within hours of first playing) on the tutorial solo dungeon:

It case you need to ask - yes, one can play as a male Spirit Shaper - none of the classes are gender locked.

Ah my bad, im more looking for groupplay. It is the only heal ingame right? As I always play support/heal, im looking for vids.

From what a saw in the vid it looked a bit like skyforge priest, badminton racket.

    Edit:

    This one? Scythe looks cool.

Occulists (scythe) is a hybrid support class that have some group healing too - you can even focus more to cultivate your character that way so s/he become more like a life-bringer as opposed to more traditional death-bringer.
For example the Occulist Super Combo: Dome of Nirvana can convert all dmg pts to entire party for 3 secs into healing points propotionally according to your SC mastery level.

    What Aion should've been.

The game looks interesting and I like the idea of flying and not gliding. I loved Aion, except for the pvp. Spiritmaster was such a fun class to play. I really really wish we could get games like this without pvp. I already have a ton of choices in the style with pvp, but only Tera really offers pve without pushing pvp.
In theory you can take an exclusive PvE path to max level (currently 79) and beyond and only engaged in optional PvP from time to time in Revelation online but in practice exp gains for pure PvE beyond level 70 are painfully slow.

You can managed your guild zones like a much, much, much simplified version of Dwarf Fortress by recruiting appropriate skilled NPC settlers and assigned them to build up your base while they level up and attract better NPC settlers and along the way hope that you get a few discoveries - recipes, skills or what nots.

For some, this game has too much to do and for some players too little (worthwhile) to do.
Many things sounds good at design but implementation falls short - just like most games  =)

If it's another themepark i think I'll pass.

I had my share of running like heedless chicken around a static and pointless world, where the only thing to do is to fight and kill the same dumb AI in different skin. A had more than enough of this, including for my next 3 lives.

Its definitely another themepark, they even got auto-run quest-helper.

The big question is it a linear quest hub themepark where all there is to do is quest down a corridor? If so I'm out. If they offer options and some freedom I may check it out.

As long as its not F2P I will at least look at it.

Same. The video intrigued me but FTP and the aggravations that come with it are a deal breaker.

I'll have to wait and see how it plays. I was less than impressed by how Skyforge turned out (Purple founders pack, and waste land pack).

It all depends on the combat system, and how well the game is thought out.

Looking at some videos on Youtube, it seems that its open world PvP. It seems that anyone can attack anyone, and if they (the victim) doesn't fight back, the attacker gets a debuff. If they (the attacker) die while under the debuff they drop an item.

Thats too bad, as it looks like an interesting game. But I've had much more than my fill of gank fest games. Thanks, but no thanks.

    FYI.

NetEase is the WOW carrier in China. hence, they produce the top quality games in China. If you know something about chinese MMO market, you know they are the few game producer that makes game that not just to lure money/

I'll reserve judgement when I see more. However, you're going to get the usual crap.

Sandbox folks are going to gripe, because they have to follow something.

Loners (and some PvPer's) are going to gripe because it 'might' actually encourage teamplay and roles.

    You can't win.

I'm still skeptical if it'll be for me. I read that it's not the same people as Skyforge, which is good. The instance stuff bothered me quite a bit. The having to wait to play other classes REALLY burned my arse. It's pretty. That's about all I can say right now. Looking forward to more.

Yep will give it a try and see what it looks like since its same company that hosts skyforge only time will tell if the game is worth playing, if they have put in proper warehouse, housing, wardrobe costume storage and such to go along with the customization options...

Nothing sucks more like Blade & Soul & Arche Age having 30 costumes in ur inventory taking up space because you cant store in a wardrobe. Rift, Skyforge, GW2 have solved this problem.
