I can't get into the game world. Go through character creation, very slowly, and freeze as my character shows up in the world. Hopefully they will improve optimization or whatever it is very soon.
Some people are having performance problems. Like this loading screen issue. They are working day and night to fix it. Its exactly the point of early access.
I personal have no performance problems what so ever. But am eager te see the new content that will be patched in next week
I can get in and have no problems except for load times which aren't that bad.

Just wait, it eventually loads. Remember, this is "early access". So if you aren't the type with patience for bugs and glitches you SHOULDN'T play this!
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
I just wanted to find out if anyone else had the same problem. Seems like a few have some issues but this one is a bit extreme, even for "early access".

Just a thought. I usually run on a SSD but the one I use as a boot drive recently bit the dust so I have old school spinny HDD in there now. I have noticed a pretty steep drop off in loading performance with this game as a result, from boot through instance start and including level loads within instances. The rig is still playable but since this game is still early access it is far from optimized so seemingly small things look like they have pretty big impacts on the performance of the game.
That said I think you may have some under performing gear, hopefully just some RAM. I would do a quick check of your rig, drives, RAM, GPU, etc... and see if anything is under performing and that your drivers are up to date. Then load the game up with your task manager up and see what is maxing out and work it backwards from there. A piece of hardware on the brink of tanking may not show itself in a highly optimized game but these pre-release games will expose them pretty quickly.
