Is there any MMORPG with very advanced crafting?

Im talking Archeage advanced, where you can produce /farm/grind resources, process them, and make:

Gear / Items / Vehicles / Houses / impact the World

Unfortunatelly Archeage is in clutches of Trion the defiler, so im looking for alternative.

Ok anyway, in the MMORPG space here are the crafting focused MMORPGs that I am aware of that are deep.

    Eve Online
    Wurm Online
    Xyson

In my view all three of those games are considerably more advanced in the crafting area than Archeage is and yes I played Archeage because of the crafting but it didnt stick with me like these other examples did

and its arguably not an MMORPG which if we can open that door (non MMORPG) then I have a TON of deep crafting titles.

second, in the meantime the OP needs to play something so.....

Yes most of those titles ,even Star Citizen as Space Sim/FPS MMO are interesting.

Bit of a downer how so many games are aiming for casual players , for me ,casual means ,simplified gameplay, and less of it, it just cant keep you entertained for as long as a complex game can.

    Check out From The Depths.

I mention that because even as a crafter/builder myself that games requires me to really think about my designs which I am not good at by the way

EQ2 has a nice crafting system, especially as to player housing and related things.

EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

to be fair ArcheAge has a 'deeper' crafting system then EQ2 I think anyone would struggle to argue otherwise with that said he is looking for something that is deeper then archeage and that would venture (in my view) more in the direction of Wurm Online, Xyson and Eve although personally I am not a fan of actually playing Eve. I like learning eve, I like the UI, I like the graphics but actually playing it is painfully boring to me.

All thats left for me than is to wait for Trion to finish burning their Archeage servers to the ground, so that someone else can take over,  private server, or Wurm Online, Age Of Wulin, SC.. , will see.

I played Archeage for about a week and I could not take it anymore, most of the game is standard themepark experience, crafting is intresting if you can stop looking at the 6 foot tall hot babe who is almost naked and with a 13 year old face,  and the housing looked like something I would play with if I was 10 years old and a girl.

    So I had to stop.

If very advanced crafting is the goal, then you have to try A Tale in the Desert.  It might have a deeper crafting system than all of the other games mentioned on this thread added together.

If you want something else besides that, the other games I've played that had noteworthy crafting systems are Uncharted Waters Online, Puzzle Pirates, and Final Fantasy XIV.

BDO.  You can craft nearly anything.  House decor, horse gear, armor, weapons, upgrade components for gear, enchantment stones, cooking, potions.

But crafting requires nodes and buildings and the points for that are tied to questing.  Also not all towns provide all crafting options.  So it requires planning.
someone just needs to create a 'crafting framework' of epically large scale. Something that is not tied into questing etc but is pure unadulterated crafting tech tree.

THEN make said framework able to be imported into other games in which the developers can then tie things into it like questing.

I thought of creating that very system myself. most of it would just be database work.

start with the basics. Fire is fire is fire no matter what game you play, so is a tree, etc.

If you are patient enough - wait for Repopulation to come out and in a meantime check the forums about crafting - heavy stuff.

Final Fantasy 11 is an older game now but it has a very complex crafting system, especially with the Synergy system that was added a couple of years back.

I'm going to say that Ryzom probably has the best crafting system out there currently. (IMO of course)

Istaria, Chronicles of the Gifted has a super advanced crafting system and mature community. Old school, but worth it if you really like crafting.

The old Horizons.  I remember when that game was what some of the ambitious game's coming out now are trying to be.  The reason I curve my enthusiasm.

I saw that it came back and did a little reading on it. It does look really interesting. From my understanding it came out the same year WoW and EQ2 did. I was around then looking at games and I had never even heard of it then which I suppose means the add dollars from WoW and EQ2 just drowned out everyone else.
