Mortal Online - Connection Established. Verifying.

This is all this game does. I checked out the steam forum and sure enough first post someone with the same issue.

Any help or is this game just a complete mess? Horrible impression staring at this screen for 10 mins to half an hour wonder wtf is wrong with this... I tried this morning and a couple times during the day and again now in the afternoon. I give up.

This screenshot is basically a Mortal Online simulator.

Do a file check / repair if they have one.. also (and u might think this is dumb but it's not) open and close internet explorer once.

I validated the game files via steam. Did not change anything, same issue. Can anyone else log in? I see like 150 people playing on steam charts...

Oh well at least I didn't pay anything for this and was just going to try it out.

There was a DDOS attack that really fucked some stuff, they've been at it trying to get a server side fix out.

Work around (Steam): Launch game and sign on, await verification window and alt-tab back to desktop... Open file explorer, navigate to your steam folder */steam/steamapps/common/Mortal Online, run Mortal Online Launcher and sign on again. One of the two clients running will connect within a few seconds/minutes. (Reason for stepping out of steam and hard launching is steam only allows one client running directly from the steam launcher.)

Game is growing pretty steadily in population since the decline of Darkfall recently, population of the starting cities alone is mind blowing. I've personally liked the changes recently, and it's certainly been a good distraction since losing my primary game.
