If you think EQ2 community is any better, think again. Only fanbois think EQ2 community is more mature. There are tons of kids oocing and shouting. They shout/ooc songs, their current feelings, how they almost died, blah blah blah. To top it off let's say you go into a dungeon. You wipe and then every disbands so you can't get shard back. This has happened to me plenty, and has caused me to refuse to group with people I do not know. Soloing is better xp, anyways, and I don't havea chance to lose shard.
edit: yes there are typos you fanboi grammar clowns

1. thats open to opinion. they have different graphics styles all-together, and different people like each one. EQ2 went for a more realistic look, and WoW went for a more unique semi-cartoonish look. however, with only 512mb of ram you wouldnt be able to run EQ2 with the graphics very high.
2. open to opinion. eq2's combat is more "flashy" with a whole lot of spell affects, and it's more fast paced and a bit frenzied than WoW's which is a little slower and a bit easier to manage.
3. again, depends on who you ask.
4. no
5. depends on the server and time of day for both
Schutzbar - Human Warrior - Windrunner Alliance - World of Warcraft Nihilanth - Kerra Paladin - Blackburrow - EverQuest II XBL Gamertag - Eagle15GT
1.which has better graphics WoW or EQ2 ( i have 512 DDR RAM, 126MB nividia geforce, pentium 4)
EQ2 has arguably the best graphics in an MMO today.
2.which has better combat WoW or EQ2
WoW has PvP, EQ2 is all PvE. Completely up the opinion on which is the better system. I pick EQ2 as it is very well balanced. Some WoW classes are in need of a beating with the nerf bat.
3. do both EQ2 WoW get boring after a month or so
This depends on what you like. WoW is much faster levelling thus less single character longevity.
4.can u own any kind of real estate in WoW
Not yet.
5.are the citys in EQ2 usually full or usually empty now, and the same wit WoW
WoW always has a ton of bored people hanging around in Ironforge and Ogrimmar respectively. EQ2 seems to have less "banksitters" than WoW. Both games have no shortage of people in the cities. I would say WoW has far more langoring about.
--thanks, some good prices on Ebay for thes 2 games
Both games are great fun but for me EQ2 has more meaningful content.
I'm not sure what server you guys are playing on, but I met a lot more good players when i was playing WoW than during my time in EQ II.
In WoW my main was in a pretty good guild (smallish, but really nice folks). My other toons were for the most part unguilded, but most of them had freinds that they made while out questing. Maybe I just got lucky, but my new alts usually ended up blitzing all the starting quests with somone. Pickup groups were easy to get, and I never really had any bad experiences. I will say that in certain areas (mainly the barrens near the crossroads) I often had to shut off my ooc shout, as some major twat-heads used to spam it and flame each other in it.
In EQ II the community was just . . .non existant. The entire three months I played I can list all of the player ineractions i had because there were so few:
1. Group with some guy on newbie Island for a couple of quests. He doesn't speak at all, and turns out to be a pretty poor player. I move on to Freeport and never hear from him again.
2. Some guy by the Docs remarks "Wow, nice spider." (Adept III Tellurian recruit)
3. I ask around about buying and selling from the Quenyos market. No-one seems to know anyuthing about it, so I look it up online.
That was it, that's every social interaction that I had the entire time I played. Now obviously none of them were really bad, but that is just sad. I could easilly quest for an entire evening and only lay eyes on one or two other players. The EQ II community is dead as a doornail, imo.
Also, my experience with the SWG community (a bit off topic, but somone else mentioned it) was that it was bloody fantastic. Players were amazingly friendly and helpful. I don't think I payed to train a skill the entire time I played.
The WoW community gets a major bad rap. Yet to me it was pretty much dead average for a MMORPG. Mostly good folks, with a few idgits that shouldn't be allowed to use ooc. EQ II has an especially dead community, and SWG has an especially good one. Of course that is just the experience I had on the servers I tried. Your mileage may vary.
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

That is all the player interaction you had in 3 months of playing? You must have only logged in 3 times. Or else you only spoke 3 times. In EQ2 I had a vibrant guild that loved to group together and we helped anyone that asked. Maybe the server you were on really took you to the twilight zone. *ding ding ding ding, Bwa bwa, dun nun nun nun nun* *that was me humming the twilight zone theme*

Lol, maybe I was in the twighlight zone In all fairness, I should say that 70% of my playtime was spent crafting, which is a pretty solitary activity. And I'm sure that a good guild would have made all the difference, like in any MMORPG. But I've played a lot of MMOPRGs and I've never experienced anything like EQ II. Maybe it was just bad luck, idk.

Well that's the thing with instances. Everyone isn't always in the same area so you have to work slightly harder to communicate with people and find groups and such. I am the king of finding groups and how I do it is by using everything at my disposal.
Spamming LFG is ok for one or two tries then you have to move on. Next I will do a /who for the classes and level ranges I am looking for and send direct tells to people in zone or just off zone because they will be more likely to make the trek as they are close. Failing that I will do the same thing for all zones and ask if they would come and try and sell the group idea on them. Saying things like "great exp and loot there!" helps and also "Full group with you" helps too. After that I will do the same thing and not caring so much about the levels and classes and zones of the people I get. If you can't get dps class, any class is still better than none.
All of that sounds like a bit of work but I type fast so only takes a few minutes at most. In WoW it was a real frustration because people in my guild would be like "This guild never groups it sucks!" and I'd be like " You can't just rely on your guild for groups especially if your a lowbie. You have to work at it." And then I would have to school them on how to find a group. Yeesh some people are just plain lazy.
If you want a perfect group, you have to put in some effort.
