Worlds of Fire Now Open to Public Beta

Worlds of Fire is an online role playing and strategy game in fantasy setting. The rule set is based on D20 rules and the world is 2 dimensional with graphical board presentation. All the players are in one server. The game has web client and recommended browser is Firefox. Playing the game is entirely free.
The goal of WoF is to be free and fun web gaming experience. WoF aims to provide some fast hack n' slash fun and slower strategy experience powered with persistent singular world.
In WoF the game play is three faced. First you can play in real time with your hero characters in RPG fashion. With heros you can acquire your first habitat which you can then nurture to large citadel. The habitats evolve in year scale which corresponds to 12 hours real time. Managing habitats open up the third tactical side of the game. You can raise armies in large habitats and use them to wage war against other players. Keeping large armies alive can be nerve breaking as you have to feed them.
This beta concentrates on the habitat management and strategy aspects. Role playing features are not ready yet.

We recommend you to use Firefox as your browser. You can also use Internet Explorer 7 or newer. Older versions manage but they do not render png transparency correctly.

Hopefully this game will remain free. God knows who would actually pay to play this one. Must be those high end servers and ya gotta shell out the cash to keep those up and running for this game.
