Why do I lag so bad

I mean my computer isnt THAT bad. I have 769 ram, geforce 5200, 1.6ghz. And I have almost ALL settings on low and can even run without my head hurting. The camera is all messed up, when I run it jumps up and down. Why is it lagging so bad? Is there something I should do?

It's doubtful you'd get much help from this forum.
Are your nvidia drivers updated?
If you have just started playing, the fps suffers which the world is being cached, and then gets better after that is done.
You'll get a lot more advice if you go to the community forums at community.istaria.com and especially the irc chat. There's a performance thread at the community forums.
I had the same problem at first. Try doing the view distance just under 50%, play with the camera options also. Set the 3rd person camera all the way to tight. Now that I have played with everything I don't get the lag, although sometimes it still gets a bit laggy but mostly its flawless.
Terrain level of detail should be on also and slide the slider almost all the way left. Once you play with things you should be able to get it to where it still looks great and won't lag
