Is Lineage 2 a social game?

Hi there.

I am looking for a game that does alot to create a social life among the players, grouping and well the whole 'alot of people needing to work together and network' kind of thing.

I would prefer if there was one or two major cities where everyone met before going off to adventure (sort of like IronForge in WoW or the old Corellia in SWG).

Is Liniage 2 the gam I should buy?

Lineage2 is a social game undenibly. It's idea is to make people cooperate, because you can play solo to some level only. Then "single player mode" is not enough to develope your char. In my opinion you can discover only 20% of Lineage2 playing "single player mode".
There are 6 major cities and 5 starting villages, where people can group and go for something (quest, exping, etc.).
In Lineage2 players can gather into clans, clans can gather into allies. It makes them able to do special tasks, for example castle sieges. So there's a lot of social life.
So if you are a reliable player and like to cooperate with another people go for Lineage2.

If you active....Lineage 2 could be perfect for you.

There is a big grind to the game, but I swear, once you get a big drop off a mob, or get a big PvP kill, the adrenaline will have you just asking for more!

There are many mobs in the game that you cannot kill solo, in fact, there are several mobs you can't even kill with like 50 people.  So yah, I'd say you need to be social if you want to see more of what the game has to offer.
