Allods online HAPPY DAYS SUB ONLY

I am really impressed with this game, and mostly the only reason is it doesn't have a cash shop, and has a monthly sub where you get the whole game. I am really glad a company finally decided to cater to the old crowd of people, who do not like cash shops. I hear it is lower pop than free 2 play, but to be honest I was reading some post from the free to play people on the forums over there, and I am very happy they are not on the sub server. 

I haven't made it very far, but since this is the only choice for a sub game that is a modern mmo,  with no cash shop well.... It doesn't seem bad though, I like there are no voice overs also, the first quests are fun, and get you into it. Looks like it has a pvp like hutt ball which should be fun, with no cash shop junkies. Just thought I would share, since there are only  3 games that are sub only that I know of. Allods, Ryzom, and Istaira and Ryzom, and Istaira are really really old. Very nice to have a modern MMO with sub only HAPPY DAYS. 

Always wondered why mmo companies didn't do that. It is not like it is hard to do, or would hurt their free 2 play cash shop gambling junkies. To slightly quote one of the junkies, they said they would never play on the sub only server because the pvp is not balanced, because he would have to actually earn his stuff in game, instead of paying for it HAHAHAHAHA. 

Glad I passed it up when it came out, due to it being a f 2 p cash shop game.

Well, "modern MMO" is a matter of semantics I guess, since this game is just shy of being 6-1\2 years old now. I played in beta and for quite a time afterwards, and agree it was fun , entertaining and I did like both the quest lines and the original PvP structure.

However, the devs instituted a death penalty that almost required one to purchase Holy Charms from their cash shop. That was reversed a year or two later, however, by then, most of my friends had quite playing as had many of my in-game friends.

PvP had become less desirable with ill received changes leading to a vibrant nightly experience being reduced to only a tad of participants.  Also, too many expensive cash shop items were being introduced, which lessened the overall gaming experience; they too were reduced eventually but sadly, not soon enough for many of us.

A sub only option now sounds nice though, if not also mated to cash shopping.

Well, it is way more modern then the other 2 sub games, ryzom and istaria is what i meant, should of been more specific . No I mean no cash shop. It is not like wow, eve,swtor,ect. It is old school you pay 11 bucks a month and you get access to everything.Meaning the cosmetic stuff is bought with in game gold, and no one can spend more then 11 bucks a month on it. Which is why I only consider 2 other games sub only, ryzom, and istria. 

I never followed the game ever, since it was f2p, but from what I take it the people that play the f2p now, at least from the forums actually enjoy that cash shop.

I hate cash shops bad !......I remember my interest in this game many years ago.  It was viewed as a really good game gone bad by a crazy bad cash shop so I never looked back.

Now several years I feel the game is old and tainted, I can't get that feeling out of my mind !

Like so many people say, an mmo only gets one shot.

Very true, look at Vanguard, a very nice PVE mmo, that could of had 14 expansions like eq that would be the envy of the mmo world, yet that one failed day when it launched doomed it forever. So it leads me to be even more thankful I totally didn't know Allods really existed till now. I wish you luck in your search for a good mmo with no cash shop, it is a tough road We are seriously out numbered by the people who want to log in, and bust out the credit card, and almost instantly have everything.
