I find the 60 price tag too high for most games. Luckily it's usually reserved for the triple AAA crap I don't care for. But yes in this case (even though I'll be getting it for free) I don't see much improvement that would warrant a full price for an older game with an improved engine. Most of the games that have done something similar sit at half the price.
All remastered games so far sold for high price at first but not even few months later dropped 50% or even more. Would I buy it 60$? No! for 20-30? sure why not.
I agree with a company charging whatever they feel is reasonable for the product being offered. If not enough people agree with them, they'll adjust things accordingly.
For somebody who doesn't own the game already, it's par for the course. For those who own the game and only some (if any) of the DLC, it's probably a bit steep. But then, if those people didn't even like the game enough to buy all the DLC, then why should those people care? Plus, there are plenty of graphical mods out there which probably do the same thing, or even better, for nothing.
For those who own the game and all the DLC, it's a free upgrade. I don't think you'll be hearing them (or I) complain.
The only people playing on PC who really have cause to complain about the price are those who were too cheap to buy the DLC (even when cheap as dirt on sale), those who didn't like the game enough to buy the DLC (then why care about a remastered version of a game you didn't like?), or those who are too stupid to figure out how mods work. Though it stands to reason that if somebody can't figure out how mods work through Steam, then they probably wouldn't know how to operate a PC in the first place. Or a console, for that matter.

Please take a look at the Skyrim:Credits. Can we agree that is a lot of people? Most have a contract that they get paid, for every copy sold. I don't mean they make $0,10 per copy sold. I mean it goes to pay their yearly salary, if they don't sell product they don't get paid.
Let's suppose that 100 people worked on the Remaster. They took 1 year to work on it and they were paid $30/hour.
Total Cost Remaster = 100 people x (12 x 4 x 40) hours x $30/hour = $5,538M
Let's round that to $6M so we can say that it will take 100k units sold to cover the expense. More likely it took half the people, half the time. So 25K units will cover the $1,5M cost.
Once again No One is going to give a damn about my math. I realize it is a conservative estimate. It doesn't include extra costs and expenses. If I was doing a real world spot on estimate, I would have replaced the $30/hour with $250/hour. That magic number has proven correct 9 out of 10 times for final costs vs initial estimates. I work for very well paid people, so they push the average salary up.
