I started playin 1 month after release. I left 10 months after I started.
So, I have a few Qs to ask anyone nice enough to read and answer.
Last time I played; becoming jedi involved a mindless, skull splitting, life sucking grind. Is that any different?
Last time I played; only 3 classes had a chance at being useful in combat: bounty hunters, teras kasi, and commandos.
Last time I played; the developers were great at nerfing anything that made the other classes useful (examples: pistol whip was nerfed, then the creature handler exp was nerfed. don't wanna go too into detail)
Last time I played; the empire had a pathetic "grip" on the galaxy and rebels walked around spitting on storm troopers and laughing as they got slaughtered. (worked for the movies, but for those of us who chose to side with the true underdog, this was just a whole new corny)
So then, Has ANY of this changed??? Please lemme know. Thanks much everyone, and "may the force be with you".

Thank you much for the reply.
And in my opinion, Nerfs are found in every game but in the early stages of SWG nerfs were the main updates. Atleast that's how I recall it.
Anyways thanks much, I appreciate your time.

I would go so far to say that Commando is pretty broken right now and TKA got powered down because they were so overpowered before the CU... I played around with TKM/CM and it's a solid combo for sure. Does good damage and can tank like there's no tomorrow.
Commando is broken because it has no special attacks of it's own right now. However, it works extremely well if you combine it with another ranged profession (pistoleer is a good one to meld it with for AOE stopping shot). It's other big problem is that ALL commando weapons are AOE now which can cause a group some headaches if you're not careful. However, on the flip side, being able to use pistol stopping shot or carbine crippling shot or smuggler concussion shot with an AOE attack is very nice for crowd control. Unfortunately, in my opinion, until/unless Commando gets some special attacks of it's own that work for the class it's not worth all the spec points just to get area attacks.

Haha.
For a short while I loved that game. Even now, I can remember so much they did right. But when I left my heart was "broken". In other words I was sorely disappointed. Would it be worth another check in?
Pistoleer was the first class I tried and I kept it til the end hoping they would stop nerfing it and start improving it. Didn't happen when I was there.
would it be worth another check in? the space ships look kinda cool. How did that play out?

The space expansion played out well for people who like flight sims or just plain like to blow stuff up. Personally I love it. I've got three characters, one is a privateer pilot, one is a rebel pilot, one is an imp pilot and I enjoy spaceflight in general, not just the combat, as much as any other aspect of the game. There's nothing like looking out the side windows of your Sorosuub Luxery Yacht and watching the activities of the sector. Occasionaly a player will come along and play bumber cars with it to mess with me. I just laugh, cause I know that if I see them while I'm in my x-wing or my kimoglia, they're in deep shit.
Anyway, it's definitely worth trying again. Come to naritus, there are some good helpers there. And as Erillion says, Have fun.
