I was a rares collector in ultima online, I had many items that were considered bugged and unique, had hanging flowers, rocks and tiles that where not meant to be moved at all, but somehow bugged into my inventory and could then be either traded, sold or decorate with. In ultima online there was a deck of tarot card that were so rare that I spent 4 years trying to get my hands on them and never did. http://noctalis.com/dis/uo/r-0.shtml
A Peacock Charm in FFXI. The mob that drops it is now on a 1 hour respawn timer, but when I was camping it, the monster was on a 18-30 hour respawn timer and shared the respawn with a mob in an adjacent room. So after 18-30 hours it could spawn or it's valueless buddy could spawn, and then the respawn window reset. At the time, the item was considered one of the best necks in the game. I was quite the no-lifer back in those days lol.
To get the title, you had to kill 10,000 goblins. I had actually sat and killed goblins all day long in the Isle of Refuge (starter zone). It was funny wearing that title as a mere level 6.
Now that I look back on it, I should've been given the title, "Destroyer of Time". Sigh. What was I thinking ;/

I am right there with ya I actually got this with my Warden. I was/am proud of that one. Sad as it may sound lol
Back in 2001/2002 in Lineage 1 a guy created a character called Goblin Killer and leveled it from 1 to 50 by killing nothing but Goblins which only gave 2 to 3 exp points per kill.
A daunting task (or huge time killer) by itself, but as I recall they had a decent chance to drop something that was useful to lower level players so he had to compete against everyone else trying to kill them as well.
He didn't get a title for his efforts but he should have.

I got a weapon drop (of D grade quality!) in lineage 2 back when they all had like a 1 in 110000000 drop rate. Only game I've ever played that was insanely rare to get a drop of a weapon, pretty sure to make crafting classes more worth it.
SWG-Starsider: 5 Bounty Hunters & I [a Jedi Heaker b4 they homogenized Jedi Skills and b4 CU began the disastrous end] spent an EPIC 25-hr Krayt Dragon hunt and I pulled a +8 Krayt Peral, which was unheard of, on my round robin! -You used to be able to sell them for $300 on ebay! ...apparently our server had 1 toon with a +9... but I never saw him...
