Early Review of NMS (spoilers)

 It looks like decent Indie title, just seems like it could get dull at times. In all honesty this game is pretty much Spore Galaxy. After watching this twitch stream last night, I think I will buy it on sale.

Wouldn't surprise me at all, lol, there's so many people that seem to have no idea of what they're actually buying... but they'll go ahead anyway and push that button, because it's new and it's hot...

StarMade is not a very good game. Not an explorer game at all. I like the building system in place but the stability is rough and needs a ton of work.
There are better games you could have (and have) thrown up as alternatives.
 

1. yes there are a lot of other games I can throw up would you like me to do just that?
2. I use that game because people with pencil dick the smallest detail so the game MUST have 100% of what NMS does and more, no deviation thus its the only game out there that qualifies those requirements.
3. it is very much an explorer game I would argue

I would and I have often posted Empryion but its not agreed as a good point because the universe is not infinite or near infinite. There are only a handful of planets

Anyone who ever thought this game will be interesting past first few hours is nuts. Perhaps better check Starbound, same premise but with actual content

Been playing Starbound a bit lately. Pretty fun. If I could only pull myself away from Rimworld lol

I adored Spore and even though I had not been following NMS until a month or so ago, I will probably buy this for myself and pick up a copy for my kids.  We all played the heck out of Spore and absolutely loved it.  Spore along with the Sims games and of  course Minecraft for my son have gotten the most screen time of anything in our household.


From what I have seen, this looks like a fun little game to try.  That is the nice thing about not going in to a game with huge expectations.   It will be a nice diversion and something I play along side with Fallout 4 and ESO.  Really excited!!  Like others have said though, will wait for this to go on sale.  Currently have too much to do in my other games.

I would take his review with a grain of salt I watched his stream and to be honest he rushed through using an xploit of some sort and his actual gameplay was extremely oh look shiny twitch based garbage, the second guy who streamed did way better and gave a way better fair review.

One of the things that this game loses me on, is you may never run across anyone and even if your tried to play with a friend, you may never find them in game.

Since school will be starting back up in August, I had planned to just wait until the price drops in December to pick this one up for the PS4.  I like the exploring part but after you explore a few planets, I imagine it gets quite boring.

I'm still thinking of getting that game now that someone made a multiplayer mod.

This game is pretty much just like buying a random mmorpg on a completely dead server with barely any content and just wandering around exploring, for $60.

It has almost no multiplayer worth talking about at all and it's just devoid of any worthwhile content, at least minecraft had building.  All this has is looking at stuff that's made on the fly, it's not even sandbox level.

I think the first week will be utter rage of an army of unhappy people who hyped themselves up for what they thought this was going to be.

Well to be honest,i could see most including myself,fiddle around with it for maybe 1 month tops,then we would get extremely bored.
