Is there any way to try WoW without buying it, like the Shadowbane, CoH, EQ2. and DAoC free trials?

You can borrow a friend's discs to install the game and then use a buddy key to access the game for 10 days.

If you are lacking a friend of which that has WoW you might want to purchase the game. That is the only way you will get a taste, they might have a trial or something that might be an alternative to purchasing the game to get a taste of what it is like. Other then that, there is nothing more I could say, other then try checking out the game and seeing if you want to risk the 50 bucks which I still belive is the price.
