Doesn't really say much. If you release a game on the PC if you don't release on steam you are pretty much throwing away money as the bulk of the PC community uses steam and some may be adverse to other distribution platforms. If you are releasing on XBox One might as well release on the Microsoft store. When you develop anything for the XBox One, you are probably using the Windows Unified Platform as a base since its easier to develop for. If you are already using it, it doesn't make sense to not release it for PCs through the store as well.
This is the way Microsoft should promote Windows Mobile into the future as well. Make a development platform that allows for 1 code base for iOS and Android. Oh and it just happens to also make a version for Windows Mobile. Developers would adopt it to make mobile development easier for iOS and Android, yet inadvertently create a version for Windows Mobile.
