Hmmm, I'm definitely starting to feel the need to upgrade my PC.

Currently running an AMD Phenom II X4 955 which meets the minimum requirements but not by much. Also time for me to finally get an SSD I think, which will mean a reformat so I may as well get windows 10 (not that I really want to, but I don't have any copies of windows at home).

Still, looking forwards to this game and I imagine even on low settings it will still look as good / better than human revolution.
Currently Playing: WAR RoR - Spitt rr80 Black Orc | Scrotling rr6X Squig Herder | Scabrous rr5X Shaman

Good thing I just bought a new computer.  Shame that it arrived non-functional and I had to send it back.

This runs surprisingly well with my gtx 660. I wish Just Cause 3 ran this well for me.

    SSD + windows 10 = win =)

I upgraded from HDD / windows 8 to the above combo and the performance boost was more than noticeable.

I used a Phenom II X4 955 black edition till last week and upgraded just the CPU to Phenom II X6 1100T black edition which i got from Amazon quite cheap. Some may claim that this cpu is now legacy but it doesn't matter as it is a powerful chip. Combined with the rest of my pc (gtx 970, 16GB ram) i'm set for the next 3 years.

Cash Shop in a single player game?

    One Time use DLC?

I don't know... I'm getting very cynical about this shit.

Just where is this crap going to end?

When does it go too far?

I won't be supporting this bullshit

This is the same as GTA Online or Black Ops 3. You buy game bucks and can buy permanent stuff or ammo/grenades/perks.
From what I'm reading in the user reviews, Deus Ex is taking it to a new level.

Other than the way they're selling the packs it's not different that I've noticed. A DLC pack is $5 and has a bunch of ammo, grenades, etc. In GTA V you can buy the cash in bundles, usually $20 or more (up to $100 I think).

In Child of Light you can buy gems to socket into your characters gear. In many of my steam games I can buy weapon or gear DLCs for an advantage.

I can understand that you don't like it. It's just not uncommon or new.
Although I don't like it,  I can understand the mentality of purchasing items for real money, to be more competitive in a multiplayer environment.

What I don't understand, is purchasing the same type of items for real money in a single player environment.

I understand the developer and the publishers motivations perfectly...  easy money.

When I hear young adults today whining about how much things cost, how they can't afford their rent, how they will never be able to afford to purchase a home.

I think I'll just tell them to STFU

I just hope CR doesn't hear about this and start planning to put micro-transactions in SQ42.  Also please leave them out of the Splinter Cell series.

If it was a competitive multiplayer game then yeah I would understand why you are mad but like YOU said it is a single player game. Can the game be completed w/o cash shop purchases? If so then just don't make cash shop purchases. If it can't be completed w/o cash shop buys then yeah you have a right to be angry. If it can then stop being a nosey neighbor and worrying about what other people spend the money they earned on.
