This is one of those games I want so hard to love but a few really major issues keep preventing me from getting into it. I always love undead minion master characters though so I'm kind of sad that it is so hard to get into.
This is one of those games I want so hard to love but a few really major issues keep preventing me from getting into it. I always love undead minion master characters though so I'm kind of sad that it is so hard to get into.
Race/age is TOO important. Race and age is so pivotal to your build that if you decide to edit much at all there is a very real possibility you will ned to reroll entirely to create the kind of character you want to play. This also means you cannot easily pick race/age for roleplay reasons and have any real selection for what kind of build you want to play with to.
Second off:
Items need to be often extremely customized to fit your build properly but people aren't generally selling what you need. You really need to get hooked into a guild with an extensive crafting network. This severely hampers the ability of lone wolves and small groups to play the game effectively. You really should join a guild as fast as possible, but that doesn't give you time to know them beforehand.
I realize to fix these problems they would have to completely change the nature of the game. But those are the two major issues that separate Mortal from other sandbox titles I've played and enjoyed for much longer periods of time.
