It's standard fare Sean. It's only confusing if you don't understand that a GTX980 is superior to a GTX780

My take is that a GTX780 and a GTX1060 are pretty much equal in terms of performance concerning this game.

My take is that a GTX780 and a GTX1060 are pretty much equal in terms of performance concerning this game.

as I said that is the first time I have ever seen a Suggested requirements be two seperate cards randomly placed in the spectrum. However that said I dont look often to be fair. Lets see if we can find some more examples similar.

commas usually do not indicate ranges it indicates AND/OR statements depending. so

Seems odd, more over, if there is not a Spec that is above 'suggested' then a range doesnt make any sense because there is nothing after it. but there are cards more powerful then a 1060.

Graphics: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 or AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870. ..

THAT makes sense. 970 OR a 1060 does not make sense thus my statement 'its doenst make sense' which was not an attack on the game or its specs but nothing more then exactly what it was, an observation of something that didnt make sense to me

Hmm....

Maybe it's because a GTX780 is more than capable but a GTX1050 is not.  Some might believe that a GTX1050 is superior to a GTX780 and then blame the developer when their performance doesn't meet their expectations.

I am 99% sure that a 970 or a 1060 is the better option but a 980 is not, is incorrect.

That is the first time in my 34 years of gaming that I have ever seen a non-regularly expected progressive curve upward didnt work.

Witcher will run on anything that has at least equal performance to GTX 660 or HD 7870.

Mafia III will run well on anything that has at least equal performance to GTX 780, GTX 1060 or R9 290X.

How is it that you understand a list of two items, but then fail to understand when a third item is added to the list. The list still means exactly the same: Anything equal to or better than those GPUs listed is good enough.

The lists for Witcher and Mafia III list the same thing: Witcher will run on anything that has at least equal performance to GTX 660 or HD 7870. Mafia III will run well on anything that has at least equal performance to GTX 780, GTX 1060 or R9 290X.

How is it that you understand a list of two items, but then fail to understand when a third item is added to the list. The list still means exactly the same: Anything equal to or better than those GPUs listed is good enough.

To expedite the conclusion of this conversation so that we can all move on to something else lets make some effort to not just put more fuel into said conversation so that it will not linger on for days.

that is very odd and I have never seen it done that way in my 34 years of gaming.
This is not a critisim of the game itself it is simply an observation that I find this confusing and I have never seen it before in my life in a non-progressive performance curve manner.

It's not a mistake.

Instead of having 2 examples of cards that run the game well (one for NVidia and another for AMD), they listed 3 cards that run the game well (one for NVidia before 1000 -series, another for NVidia after 1000 series, third for AMD).

It's not a mistake.

Sense we want to talk about it some more, I have provided two examples of Suggested Specs that were not done that way, can you please provide another example other than Mafia in which it is done that way.

it is tranditional and makese sense to give one card from Niviida and the other from AMD, not two from one or the other family which logically makes zero sense.

I think that's what they're trying to say. It makes sense to me, but that is VERY SLOPPILY put. I don't remember ever seeing it as well.

I have been trying to find an article that brings this up but they all are literally reading this:

'GeForce GTX 780 or GeForce GTX 1060'

to mean this

 GeForce GTX 780 or greater

how does that happen in journalism I dont know.
